Neil Avenell is a Feedstocks and Raw Materials Procurement Manager for INEOS Inovyn (Europe’s largest Vinyls and Hydrogen producer) and Strategic Purchasing Manager for INEOS Electrochemical Solutions (a chlor-alkali and alkaline water electrolysis technology provider to Global customers). He has worked for INEOS for 16 years, providing commercial support for precious metals fresh catalyst purchasing and used catalyst recovery to INEOS Group companies.

Mike spent the majority of his professional career working within the Testing, Inspection
and Certification (TIC) industry, with a focus on the Metals & Minerals sector. This
included a 10 year spell as Global EVP, SGS Minerals Services during which time he
spent considerable time in all of the major metals mining and processing countries.
In 2017 Mike set up his own Business Advisory and Consulting business, TICC LLC,
working primarily with Private Equity funds, Family Investment Offices and
entrepreneurs to assist them in developing and executing their investment theses and
sector or business growth strategies.
From his long involvement in and deep knowledge of extractive industries, he has
developed first hand insight into how ESG policies, when properly designed and
adopted, bring reduced levels of risk and improved processes to both manufacturers
and the end users of metals.
They also provide the critical link to local communities and underpin the critical Social
Contract that brings together all stakeholders in these large, complex and multi-year
projects.
Mike became Chairperson of CommStack UK in 2024 to support the founding
entrepreneur and shareholders of the business, all of whom have a deep
understanding, across many challenging geographies, of extractive industries and the
required IT control and reporting systems.
Mike served as the Founding President of IPMI EC from 2013-2015 and was
subsequently awarded a Lifetime Silver Membership of IPMI.

Dr. Jonathan Butler is Head of Business Development & Strategy at Mitsubishi Corporation, specialising in gold, silver and PGM sales/marketing, and leads Mitsubishi’s precious metals research and strategy. Jon has held various roles in Mitsubishi’s global precious metals team since 2013 and previously worked, from 2007, in precious metals marketing at Johnson Matthey. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh and Masters degrees from the University of Oxford. He is currently serving as President of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI), Vice Chair of the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM) and is on the Public Affairs Committee of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA).

Charles has been involved in commodities since the beginning of his career, first as an economist with the Bank of Canada and the Caisse de Depot et Placements du Quebec and then handled copper and zinc trading and niobium products marketing with Cambior, a Canadian mining company. After 10 years with ScotiaMocatta spent in Toronto and Johannesburg, Charles joined Metalor Technologies as Sales Manager for the Refining Division. He returned to North America in 2010 when joined Auramet International Inc. As Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, Charles has been focusing on business development and customer service to the international mining industry, including providing offtake solutions, price protection strategies and lending products to the international mining industry.

Auramet is a global leader in metals trading, financing and price risk management. It is headquartered in the beautiful New Jersey town of Teaneck, in the shadow of New York City. Auramet has representative offices in Toronto, Lima, Cape Town, Perth, Vienna and London.”

Henk de Hoop is a mining engineer and Chartered Financial Analyst, and is Chief Executive Officer of SFA (Oxford) Ltd. SFA provides bespoke, independent intelligence and consultancy services on PGM markets and a variety of other strategic metal markets. Henk has a proven track record as a top-ranked investment analyst, having analysed companies and commodities in detail in the gold, coal, base metals, diamond and PGM sectors as a stockbroking analyst for 12 years. Henk spent the next 14 years as a resources sector investment banker, getting involved in equity and debt capital raisings and M&A advisory for a wide variety of mining companies across the commodity spectrum, and he has an authoritative understanding of commodity markets, valuations and relationships across the value chain.

Lynda Si-Ahmed is the Refining Group Business Development Manager at Metalor Technologies SA, based in Switzerland, and has worked the last 20 years in the precious metals industry and 5 years into the base metal industry.

With a Ph. D in chemistry and an executive MBA form HEC Lausanne, she held various roles in Metalor and has spent more of her career leading precious metals R&D teams, managing company strategic projects and actively working into new businesses development, implementation & management including sales and marketing activities of PGM industrial products.

Since 2023, she is the President of the European Chapter of the IPMI and served as the secretary of the Chapter in 2022. She is also active in the European committee of Women in PGM.
