Advancing Green Skills for Sustainable Industries in the Philippines

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ 09 July 2025

โฐ 2:00 - 5:00 PM

๐Ÿจ Fairmont Makati

The transition to a sustainable and inclusive economy in the Philippines requires a skilled and future-ready workforce that can drive innovation in green industries. Green jobs are central to this transformation, contributing to both environmental protection and economic resilience.

Insights from the 2025 Sustainability Forum: The Green Economies of Tomorrow emphasized the importance of a multi-stakeholder approach that balances skills development, policy support, and economic feasibility. Despite recent progress, challenges remain in expanding training programs and mainstreaming sustainable business models.

To address these gaps, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), in collaboration with the German Embassy Manila, is hosting the Green Jobs Forum: Sustainability at Work on 09 July 2025. This in-person forum convenes stakeholders from business, government, and education to examine workforce strategies that support green transitions and align with the Philippines' broader climate and economic development agenda.
