The women of ABASA portfolio is a strategic portfolio established in 2015 by Past President Tantiswa Fubu under the clariant call that "Women will no longer be a footnote at the bottom of the chapter "
In 2021 ABASA held its inaugural Women's Conference aimed at raising awareness around unique challenges faced by black women in our profession and corporate SA and to recognise women within the accounting profession who have shown leadership excellence
The Women of ABASA portfolio seeks to have impactful conversations beyond the month of August.
ABASA will be hosting panel discussions to address the current issues affecting women on a daily basis, which are inspired by the theme of August being a women's month. This year's theme of "building women's economic empowerment and inclusion to drive excellence" will enable various female leaders within the industry to participate in discussions that enable us to co-create knowledge that can boost excellence and further explore cross-collaboration strategies, leveraging group efforts toward building a common future that advances women and addresses ongoing inclusion challenges.
