Event Details

Under the current political instability, exacerbating challenges already presented by a global pandemic, many businesses face an existential threat. Even while closely monitoring a rapidly changing economic situation, it is critical for businesses to strategize around future approaches and practices that will optimise resources, minimise fallout and best prepare themselves to compete in the aftermath.

With this aim in mind, MPE&VCA will initiate a planned series of support events for members by hosting a briefing in the coming week, to provide opportunities to share inputs and feedback regarding:

  • How to address market shortcomings (particularly in relation to skills and available training) and strengthen the investment ecosystem
  • How to manage risks for both investors and portfolio companies on a short, medium, and long term basis
  • How executives can withstand and overcome the various challenges presented to their businesses in times of crisis

About MEIP

Myanmar Enabling Investment Program (MEIP), funded by CDC and FMO, was launched in January 2021 and designed to facilitate the emergence of stronger small and growing businesses (SGBs) that would unlock growing investment in Myanmar over the medium term. While this remains an important objective, MEIP will be adjusting to assist the investment community to account for the drastic changes in the country.
