La Asociación Económica Integral Regional (RCEP, por sus siglas en inglés) fue firmado en Noviembre 2020. El bloque lo conforma China, Japón, Corea del Sur, Australia, Nueva Zelanda y todos los países del sudeste asiático (Indonesia, Tailandia, Singapur, Malasia, Filipinas, Myanmar -Birmania-, Vietnam, Brunei, Laos y Cambodia). Representando el 30% de la población y PIB mundial (US$26,000 millones).


Asia, en particular China, se ha convertido en uno de los principales socios comerciales para algunos países de América Latina. De ahí la importancia de conocer el RCEP y sus beneficios mediante la extensión de las cadenas de producción en Asia.


El RCEP es el regionalización de Asia en un mundo donde el Occidente busca el proteccionismo, y América Latina queda atrapada en medio de las diferencias.     Veronica Salcedo studied law at the University of Deusto in Spain, before completing her Master’s degree in Legal Practice at the International University of La Rioja and gaining admission to the Spanish bar in May 2016. She initially worked as a legal advisor to a Spanish start-up company in Madrid before undertaking a further Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action at the Universities of Deusto in Spain and Uppsala in Sweden. In 2018, she moved to London where she initially worked for a Spanish law firm, and later joined an in-house legal team where she primarily worked on commercial and corporate matters.
