Weng Eu Gene
Head of SME and Commercial Agency at AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad
Weng Eu Gene has been in the General Insurance Industry for 22 years. He is currently, Head of SME and Commercial Agency in AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad. He take charge of SME portfolio and commercial non-motor business for Retail Division. Prior to this, he was the Regional Manager for KL Agency. He has strong experience in leading sales team, branch management, insurance operations, training and facilitation. He co-facilitates various AXA in-house training program.
He has a Bachelor Degree is Applied Science, majoring in Applied Mathematics. He had attained his professional qualification; Associateship of Malaysia Insurance Institute (AMII) in 2015, Senior Associate CIP (ANZIIF) in 2017 and Fellowship of Malaysia Insurance Institute (FMII) in 2019. Part of his personal and professional development, he is also lecturing professional papers under MII and take this as part of his contribution to the insurance industry.
Calvin Goon Cheng Yu
Head of Wealth Management and Customer Segmentation at Affin Bank Berhad
Mr Calvin Goon has over 18 years of working experience in sales and marketing in the asset and wealth management, private banking and the affluent segment business. Calvin joined Affin Bank Berhad in October 2019 as Head of Wealth Management.
His portfolio also includes the customer segmentation for the affluent and mass affluent business. His strength is in building profitable business model which involves skills in market intelligence, cost and revenue analysis, and sales and marketing campaign. With his in-depth experience in wealth management product development and serving the needs of high net worth individuals, his team is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the affluent and mass affluent customer base alongside the Wealth and Bancassurance products in the current role.
Calvin has a degree in Marketing and Mass Communications from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He also holds the following certifications: CFP mark, Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services (Singapore) Modules 1A & 1B and Pre-Contract Examination for Insurance Agents. He is licensed under FIMM for unit trust. Calvin is a MBA holder in Business from Conventry University. He is also the Board of Governors for FPAM.
