The German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) is delighted to invite you to our sixth webinar in the "GTCC Clean Air Initiative Series - Green Solutions from Germany"
Significant air pollution reduction through sensible use of agricultural residuals
with speaker from CLAAS Regional Center South East Asia Ltd.
Anil Menon, Managing Director
Date: Tuesday, 11 January 2022
Time: 10:00-11:00 hrs. (Thailand time)
via Zoom Webinar
It is undeniable that agricultural burning is a major contributor to the air pollution problem in Thailand. Yet farmers options to collect crop residue are limited. With this problem in mind, the CLAAS QUADRANT offers farmers the opportunity to bale sugar cane leaves and other agricultural waste to avoid open field burning.
Power plants can sustainably source material locally, farmers can earn additional income from selling the sugar cane straw and, above all, heavy air pollution caused by field burning can be avoided – it is a win-win situation for everyone. More details about the current situation in Thailand, CLAAS solutions for existing problems and the mutual benefits for all sides will be presented by Anil Menon throughout this session.

About GTCC Clean Air Initiative Series - Green Solutions from Germany
The German-Thai Chamber of Commerce Clean Air Initiative (GTCC CAI) was launched in 2020 with a Clean Air Initiative working group of around 20 participating member companies. GTCC CAI Website
Germany is home to various advanced environmental technologies. Therefore, we initiate the "GTCC Clean Air Initiative Series – Green Solutions from Germany". GTCC member companies will introduce and promote their technologies, concepts and services regarding the prevention and reduction of air pollution for the markets in Thailand and the Southeast Asia region.
With this webinar series the participating companies will also share their suggestions regarding the regulatory framework in Thailand. In general, regulatory frameworks can be an impediment for the implementation of state-of-the-art global standards or pave the way for the introduction of new technologies and modernization. Raising public awareness on the need of prevention of air pollution and the importance of policies aiming at clean air is another goal of this webinar series.
