Overview

According to the CDC, a woman's reproductive system is intricately delicate and complex, encompassing the journey from Menarche to Menopause, with varying situations throughout different periods and ages. A robust reproductive system not only enhances her own well-being but also contributes to the joy of the entire family. However, discussions about a healthy reproductive system also shed light on the wide array of health issues that can affect the female reproductive system.

On this International Women's Day, VOH wishes to highlight and create awareness amongst the public on some of the major reproduction health issues like infertility, PCOS, Endometriosis, and High – Risk pregnancies.

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after one year of regular intercourse without contraception. (Source: WHO Website). As the rate of Infertility is increasing across the globe as well as in India, WHO has recognized infertility as a "Public Health Issue". VOH wishes to address the rising number of cases of infertility, understand primary and secondary infertility, and talk about the increasing rate of secondary infertility, the reasons and risk factors associated with it and how it affects women more than men in India.

With this campaign, we also intend to create awareness amongst the general public on Infertility treatments, recent advances supporting in improvement of reproductive medicine and the ethical issues related to ART. VOH also wishes to support females by educating them on informed choices related to infertility and SRH.
