Join the Alliance for a CLOSED meeting on Thursday, May 20th. In addition to our standard meeting agenda of BIP, Thank Yous and Member Highlights, we will also have our board elections.
During this meeting, a strategic review of the Alliance with also be discussed by Marc.
Board Election Details:
Who is eligible to run?
Primary members who have been a member for at least one year by time of elections are eligible to run.
Associate members who are not an Associate Member of a Board Member and who have been a member for at least one year by time of elections are eligible to run for the Associate Board Member seat.
Number of board seats
Currently, the board consists of 9 board seats and 1 associate board seat. The seats are for a 2-year term.
Effective with this year's election, we are streamlining the board to 7 board seats and 1 associate board seat.
Process:
Our standard election process will be followed; that is at the May 20th meeting, the candidates will address the room prior to the actual voting.
Each candidate will address the room for 3-5 minutes and share their ideas and goals for the board
Voting Rules
Each member company gets one vote (so the primary member and associate member have one ballot)
For a ballot to be counted, you must vote for 3 candidates for the board seat and 1 candidate for the associate board seat.
The voting process:
The primary member for each company will receive a "proxy" ballot* (emailed to them from Debbie) to use to cast their company's vote in the election.
Our standard election process will be followed: that is, at the May 20th meeting, the candidates will each address the room prior to the actual voting.
