Supply chain and logistics, the backbone of trade for every nation, is challenged by the historic trade disruptions and economic downturn in Myanmar. Shipping and trucking bottlenecks caused by uncertainty under the current political and economic environment have forced businesses to apply the brakes on their business expansion and strategic plans. Some could even consider scrapping their normal business lines in a few unfortunate instances. A change to foreign exchange rates underlies current challenges to satisfying import licence requirements, while the fuel price hikes and additional unexpected overhead costs for inland transportation are posing a threat to both traders and supply chain operators.
At this fourth panel discussion of the MPE&VCA webinar series "Leading through Crises", we will explore how transport and logistics providers involved in supply chain operations in Myanmar are leading their businesses, the opportunities that come into their view, how they are overcoming the hurdles, and we'll look at both the near and long-term prospects for the sector.
Join us at this event to hear from the leading supply chain operators.
