The Canadian Critical Incident Inc. (CCII) in partnership with the New York Association of Hostage Negotiators are very excited to announce this year’s Fall Seminar will be held November 13-15, 2017 at the Double Tree Fallsview Resort, Niagara Falls, Ontario.The agenda will include case studies relating to the Pulse Nightclub Orlando Florida, the Dallas Police Department ambush killing of five police officers, OPP case studies and the Ontario Corrections facility hostage taking.
Building on the tremendous success of last year’s seminar, CCII is excited to work with the Double Tree Staff in providing a great venue for the annual CCII Fall Seminar. The cost is $280.00 US Dollars. Registration includes a full buffet lunch, snacks and beverages as well as a hospitality night on Sunday November 12, 2017.

The Fall Seminar will continue to provide current and compelling case studies and lectures, relating to crisis negotiations, incident command and tactics, with both Canadian and U.S content. This year CCII will be reaching out to it's good friend and neighbor, the New York Association of Hostage Negotiators, to assist in providing dynamic guest speakers.
The exciting presenters confirmed so far will include;
Lt. Jack Cambria (ret.) NYPD will present the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting and subsequent barricade and negotiations.
Senior Corporal Larry Gordon of the Dallas Police Department and SWAT Team member will present details of this horrific and very tragic event as he negotiated with the suspect. And the tactical options and considerations, such as the use of a remote-controlled bomb disposal robot equipped an explosive devise necessary to illuminate the risk involved, which was a first in the U.S.
Jeff Thompson Ph.D. will share his research as it applies to crisis negotiation, current trends and techniques.

Jon Beninger, Ontario Corrections will present details of a hostage taking of a Correctional Guard in Thunder Bay.
