There's so much hype surrounding artificial intelligence and its capacity for disrupting the way we work, live, and processes information. Rather than discuss ifs and whens, the Artificial Intelligence Society brings together media and technical experts to discuss the existing artificial intelligence applications that are being used and developed by the public and private sector on September 28th at 7:00 pm at Thomson Reuters. Universities are merging their computer science and journalism departments and many global newsrooms are investing in cognitive computing teams to report the news faster and more efficiently.
Avril Parkin will discuss how Thomson Reuters uses artificial intelligence to find the latest breaking stories on social media and analyze financial market data. Sherman Lee will discuss how artificial intelligence can be utilized to write better content and how social media plays a role. Our diverse panel will elaborate how artificial intelligence is shaping the journalism industry from university campuses to boardrooms and how these technologies will continue to develop and transform the way we consume and absorb media.
