Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu is a 1983 graduate of Economics from Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, and acquired his first Master’s Degrees in Money and Banking from the University of Jos in 1989. In 1992, he was a World Bank Scholar at Columbia University, New York’s pioneer Program in Economic Policy Management (PEPM). At Columbia, he obtained a Second Master’s degree in International Affairs with specialization in Economic Policy Management. Senator Abubakar Bagudu’s career in banking bestrode institutions such as the Central Bank of Nigeria as an Economist, CitiBank (Formerly Nigeria International Bank) and FSB International Bank Limited. After a stint with the World Bank/IFC in 1993, he served as a Special Assistant to Dr. Kalu
Idika Kalu when the later was Honourable Minister of Finance. In 2009, he was elected to the Nigerian Senate to represent Kebbi Central and got re-elected in 2011. Following this, he was elected Governor of Kebbi State in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 for a second term. Between 2019 and 2023 he served as the Chairman, Progressive Governor’s Forum and became Vice Chairman, Nigeria Governor’s Forum between November 2022 and May 2023. Senator Bagudu was also Chairman, Presidential Task Force on Rice and Wheat Production and Vice Chairman, National Food Security Council. He was the Vice Chairman, Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative (PAGMI) between 2017 and 2023.
In addition, he has extensive private sector experience both as director and chairman of various companies. Senator Abubakar Bagudu is a recipient of Nigeria’s National Honour of Commander of the Order of Niger as well as the Order of Merit of Niger Republic.
Nick Hurd served as a Member of Parliament in the UK for fourteen years. During that time he served three different Prime Ministers as a UK Government Minister for nine years. As one of the longest serving Ministers for Civil Society, he led the Government work that helped establish the UK as a world leader in developing the impact investment market. That included the setting up of Big Society Capital as the first impact investment wholesaler, and the establishment of the first social outcome funds to support Social Impact Bonds.

Engr Afolabi Oladele recently retired as Executive Director of Africa Capital Alliance (ACA) after almost 30 years of service to the organisation. Prior to joining ACA, he spent most of his career with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where he served in various capacities, culminating in his appointment as Group Executive Director. He gained in-depth industry knowledge through various postings to OPEC, Mobil USA and Total France. Mr. Oladele served on the board of Niger Delta Exploration & Production (NDEP) PLC in 2016 and currently sits on the Board of Addax Petroleum Corporation. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Academy of Engineers. Etemore is an impact investor, philanthropist and serial entrepreneur. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Impact Investors Foundation, a non-profit organisation founded in partnership with the Ford Foundation, Africa Capital Alliance, BusinessDay Media Limited, Bank of Industry and Dalberg Advisors. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Impact Investors Foundation, she is responsible for implementing its vision and strategies and coordinating projects.
In the last two years, Etemore established the National Advisory Board (NAB) for Impact Investing, the highest national body responsible for promoting social investments in the country and building the market infrastructure. Etemore led the establishment of the Nigerian NAB, which will be under the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment, the umbrella body with 38 NABs across 28 countries and regions. She also engages with development finance institutions (DFIs), bilateral and multilateral agencies, and local and foreign investors to grow impact capital and investment in Nigeria.
She was previously the pioneer Executive Secretary of The Knowledge Exchange Centre (KEC), a non-profit organisation focused on bridging the skills gap for young unemployed graduates. While at KEC, Ms Glover was responsible for translating and implementing the five-year vision and strategic plan of the organisation. She has worked on several youth development programmes with the government and has a wide range of experience in banking, research, monitoring and evaluation, project management, strategy and planning.
Ruben Alba Aguilera is an international civil servant of the European Union. He currently holds the position of Acting Head of Cooperation of the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, where he is responsible for a wide portfolio of development cooperation projects. Over the last 15 years, he has worked for the European Union in the area of development cooperation in various positions both in Brussels (Belgium) and in the EU Delegations in Guatemala, Rwanda, Djibouti and the African Union (Ethiopia).
Mohamed Yahya is a development practitioner with over 20 years of experience working on critical development issues such as preventing violent extremism, governance, peacebuilding, conflict response and recovery, and public policy. In June 2019, Mohamed was appointed as the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, leading a team of close to 200 people in supporting the Government of Nigeria towards the realisation of its development agenda.
Before his appointment to lead UNDP in Nigeria, Mr. Yahya was the Africa Regional Programme Coordinator for UNDP, responsible for regional development initiatives supporting the African Union and Africa's Regional Economic Communities. He also served as UNDP's post-conflict recovery specialist supporting UN interventions in Afghanistan, Guinea Bissau and Liberia. Before joining the UN, Mr. Yahya worked as a senior peacebuilding advisor for the non-governmental organisation International Alert, focusing on West Africa.
Prince Clem Agba was born on March 28, 1964 to the family of His Royal Highness, Pius Kadiri Ikanade Agba - the Oliola of Uzanu - in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State. He started his primary education at St. Vincent Primary School, Auchi, after which he proceeded to St John’s Grammar School, Fugar. He attended Advanced College, Igueben, where he obtained the Higher School Certificate (HSC). Clem Agba, thereafter, proceeded to the then Bendel State University, now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and graduated with a B.Sc. Economics degree in 1985. He also possesses two Master’s Degrees in Business Administration, the first from the University of Benin, specializing in Management and the second from the Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, USA, specializing in Supply Chain Management, in addition to eight different certifications centering on advanced negotiation skills, leadership best practices, operational excellence, and contracts administration and category management, among others.
Clem Agba’s work experience took him from Pegasus Industries Limited through Super Engineering Limited to Chevron Nigeria Limited. His unremitting quest for professional excellence blossomed such that in 1996 he was seconded to the Chevron Oil Corporation in Houston. Texas in the United States to deliver his expertise in Shipping. Ten years later, in 2006, he was again called upon to deliver another top-class performance in Kazakhstan, where he was seconded to Chevroil Tengiz to run a massive logistic chain, having under his superintendence over 1,600 people.
Clem Agba was granted a leave of absence to serve as Commissioner in the Edo State Ministry of Environment and Public Utilities from January 23, 2009 to July 25, 2010. He was re-deployed in the Ministry of Environment & Public Utilities on December 2, 2010. On expiration of his leave of absence, Clem Agba returned to Chevron in September 2012 as Manager, Community Procurement Operations, but only for a short time as he was once again called to the service of Edo State Government as Commissioner for Environment & Public Utilities on March 8, 2013. He also doubled as a member of the Edo State Economic team.

Bolaji is Chief Executive Officer of Chapel Hill Denham and Chief Investment Officer of the Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund. He has thirty-four years of experience in investment banking, investment management, investing and mobile telecommunications.
He spent over ten years within FCMB Group in investment banking and securities trading, until January 2001. In 2001, he co-founded Econet Wireless Nigeria, now Airtel Nigeria, and led its successful GSM license bid auction, eventually selling the company for $1.67 billion to Celtel. Bolaji left mobile telecommunications and returned to investment banking, when he founded Chapel Hill, in 2005.

He received his First degree in Medicine at the Royal Medical College of St. Bartholomew's Hospital in the University of London, with fellowship from both Royal College of Medicine and Pathology in the United Kingdom and the College of Medicine of South Africa.
His Focus has been mainly on the concept of emerging infectious diseases and the development of medical diagnostic and clinical capacity in Africa. Prof Akin Abayomi has published over 80 peer reviewed medical articles and book chapters on diverse medical and environmental conditions in 4 continents.
Professor Abayomi was Chief Pathologist and Head of the Division of Haematology at the University of Stellenbosch's Faculty of Medicine Science in Cape Town, South Africa till 2018. Prior to the he was a Consultant at the University of West Indies and the University of Zimbabwe. He has been exposed to a vast variety of geographical variations and disease patterns within the field of Internal Medicine having worked for 4 decades in diverse countries of the world. Prof Abayomi is a fellow of the African Academy of Science.

Kenneth Amaeshi is a leading scholar on sustainable business and finance in the global south. He is the Chair in Business and Sustainable Development and Director Scaling Business in Africa at the University of Edinburgh. He also holds a Chair in Sustainable Finance and Governance at the School of Transnational Governance, European University Institute, Florence, Italy.
Kenneth's research interest currently focuses on financial market reforms and governance, as well as on sector-level policies for sustainability and sustainability strategy in organisations. Dr Frank Aswani is the CEO of the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA), a network of social

He is a Kenyan national residing in Johannesburg and holds a Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Studies), University of Pretoria, South Africa. Frank has extensive experience across both the private and social sectors. He spent 14 years in healthcare with Eli Lilly working in Kenya, England, Switzerland and South Africa. At Eli Lilly, Frank served as the Sales Director for South Africa and the Regional Director for Sub-Sahara Africa managing over 25 countries in Anglophone and Lusophone Sub-Sahara Africa. Frank was the VP and Director of Strategic Relations at the African Leadership Academy (ALA) in Johannesburg for six years, leading ALA's corporate partnerships, business development and fundraising activities. His other stints include his time at Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) as the Africa Regional Director and a consultancy in innovation.

Ms Kehinde Ayeni, Executive Director, LEAP Africa, is a 13-year LEAP veteran who, in the last three years, has also served as the Chief Operating Officer - responsible for developing and driving operational strategy, optimising resources, processes and people improvement, translating strategy into actionable goals for optimal performance, growth and sustainability.
Ms. Ayeni’s passion, commitment, drive, and excellence have contributed greatly to the growth of LEAP Africa. She has built a career in the non-profit and works for an organisation that nurtures young Africans by creating and enabling opportunities for them to fulfil their potential. She is a skilled facilitator and has led impact-driven sessions in LEAP Africa’s core leadership programmes within Nigeria and across Africa.
In 2020, Kehinde was recognized among 50 African Women Making a Difference in Development by
Donors for Africa and a 2021 Praxis Non-profit Accelerator Fellow. Kehinde is an advocate for social good and promotes debates and causes related to leadership development, social entrepreneurship, and economic and youth development. Her personal and professional goal is to continue creating the environment, opportunities, and solutions to profit,
empower, and enable self- and organizational sustainability.
Kehinde Ayeni has her first degree in Geography and Education from the University of Ilorin and a
certificate in Advanced Skills Programme from the School of Media and Communications, Pan African University (now Pan Atlantic University) and a Certificate in Sustainability Workshop for NGOs and Corporate Organizations from the same University. She is a Global Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK and is currently studying for an executive MBA at Lagos Business School.
Dr. Natalie Beinisch is Executive Director and Co-Founder of Circular Economy Innovation Partnership (CEIP) in Lagos. Her work focuses on research, advocacy and programme development that enables circular business and investment opportunities in Nigeria. Among the projects she has worked on is the initiation of the “Circular Lagos” project, a programme developed in partnership with Lagos State and the Lagos Circular Business Platform. The Circular Lagos project has led to the set up of the Circular Economy Technical Working Group of Lagos State, where CEIP serves as a technical advisory member, a web-based clearinghouse, a pod-cast series as well as entrepreneurship and research fellowship programmes.
With more than 29 years of experience in medicine and business, Dr. Ayodele Benson is the current Chairman of Echo-Scan Services Limited, which as a subsidiary of IDH Holdings, now operates under the trademark Echolab.
A 1994 graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Calabar, Nigeria. In 1998, Dr. Benson founded Echo-Scan Services Limited in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria with his partner, the late Dr. Anthony Irefu, under their leadership and with a vision to deliver affordable, quality diagnostic services through technology across Nigeria, Echo-Scan Services grew to 13 branches and invested in a number of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) with various State Governments to promote centres of excellence across the Country. In 2018, Echo-Scan commenced implementation of a 25 million USD investment from the IFC, Man Capital LLC and IDH to scale up the company to become a major player in the Medical Diagnostic Landscape in Nigeria today.
In 2019, Dr Benson went on to found Benson Coleman & Associates Ltd, a management consultancy firm focused on Healthcare, Finance and Investment, where he serves as Chairman/CEO.
Always a stickler for personal and professional excellence, in 2006, Dr. Benson acquired a Masters’ degree (with Merit) in Medical Imaging from Leeds University, United Kingdom. He further pursued two doctorate programs that ran concurrently and obtained a Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) degree from the University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Medical Diagnostic Ultrasound from the L.U.de.S University, Switzerland in 2012, in addition to many other professional certifications over the years. Dr Benson had management training at the Institute of Directors in South Africa and at the IMD in Switzerland
Temilade is the Head of Impact and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) at Alitheia
Capital, an impact investing fund management firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. She is
responsible for leading the Impact and ESG direction of Alitheia IDF, a pioneering $100
million gender lens investing fund targeting growth stage SMEs in sub-Saharan Africa.
Preceding her transition to private finance, Temilade built experience in social development,
working with a range of international and local organisations including the United Nations
Educational United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); the
International Labour Organization (ILO); the Economic Community for West African States
(ECOWAS); the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives (CPPA); and Growing Businesses
Foundation.
Temilade is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, France where she obtained a Master of Public
Affairs (MPA) degree, specializing in Global Energy and Sustainability Policy and
Governance. With over 12 years of varied experience, Temilade is skilled in investment
analysis, strategy development, policy research, and communications.
Nneka is a Managing Partner and General Partner at VestedWorld, an Africa-focused venture capital firm investing in agriculture, consumer goods, and enabling technology startups in East and West Africa. Nneka has deep experience and knowledge of mass market African consumers in rural and urban areas. She has 15 years of experience working in and across Africa and believes deeply in the firm’s north star -- that Africa can become the next East Asia. VestedWorld has 30 portfolio companies and 30 million AUM in two closed-end funds backing founders with a commitment to investing in African founders and female founders. Since joining VestedWorld full time in 2021 she has led transactions in the creative industries, B2B retailtech, fintech, healthtech/biotech, and mobility/logistics. She joined the VestedWorld investment committee in 2017 and has served as an IC member since then.
Nneka is a Kauffman Fellow in Class 28. She has worked across Africa, and in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. She moved to Kenya in 2009 and has lived in Kenya, briefly in Senegal, and in Nigeria, and has spent her professional career in Africa. Nneka has been involved in building the impact investing ecosystem in Nigeria. In 2019, she developed the strategy for the Impact Investors’ Foundation of Nigeria (a non-profit which aims to unlock impact investing in Nigeria, and which is the secretariat for the national advisory board) and sits on the Board. She also serves on the inaugural National Advisory Board for Impact Investing in Nigeria.
She also sits on the Board of Directors of two mission-aligned nonprofits focused on social entrepreneurship (The Resolution Project) and public sector leadership development (AMP Health).
Prior to VestedWorld, Nneka founded the Nigerian office of a global strategy consulting firm after helping scale the business across Africa for over a decade, and was co-lead the Global Agriculture & Food Security Practice for seven years. She previously worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in Washington, DC including on a project in Lagos, Nigeria.
Nneka holds an AB in economics cum laude from Harvard College along with a citation in Spanish language and speaks intermediate French.

Gbenga Hassan is the Managing Partner at Àrgentil Capital Management Limited and oversees the
principal investments, private equity and asset management business. Gbenga has over 27 years of
private equity, principal investing, and financial advisory experience in the international and West
African markets. Gbenga is a very active investor in the SMEs in Nigeria and West Africa. At Àrgentil
he has led investments in Sygen Pharmaceuticals which acquired the assets of Nigerian German
Chemicals and seen the company support the manufacture of different therapeutics for the domestic market. He has also led investments in early-stage technology startups including health-tech. Several investments made have been recognized as deal of the year at awards by Private Equity Africa. As an active investor in many early-stage SMEs, Gbenga sits on the board of various companies where he provides strategic advice and support to entrepreneurs across different areas including raising financing, business development, strategy execution, networking etc.
Previously, Gbenga was responsible for identifying, originating, and executing private equity
transactions in West Africa at Aureos Capital, specializing in deal structuring, valuation, and portfolio management. He also worked with Standard Bank London and Stanbic Bank Nigeria in various corporate and project finance roles. He holds an MSc from University College London and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Ashley Immanuel is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Semicolon, a company that is enabling Africa's digital transformation by building tech-focused talent and businesses. Ashley coordinates Semicolon’s delivery of innovative solutions related to education, talent management, and venture-building.
Ashley is also currently serving as the Nigeria Climate Champion for the Catalyst Fund, a pre-seed fund and accelerator focused on building climate resilience.
Ashley has more than 15 years of experience delivering and managing impact-focused work in locations worldwide. She started her career in management consulting with IBM Global Business Services. Prior to joining Semicolon, Ashley was Chief Executive Officer of EFInA (Enhancing Financial Innovation & Access), an organization that drives inclusive finance in Nigeria through research, advocacy, capacity building, and innovation. In this role, Ashley supervised leading research and engagement on financial sector innovation in Nigeria and oversaw the delivery of EFInA’s Innovation Fund.
Osayi is an Africa-focused business leader committed to building high-growth enterprises that are ethical and have a meaningful impact on society. He earned an MBA from the Univeristy of Leicester and is COREN certified Engineer. He started his career as a project execution engineer with ExxonMobil in 2006 and grew through the ranks to become the youngest operations manager in their African operations responsible for managing a multi-billion USD asset cluster producing 120,000 barrels of oil per day with a staff strength of 490 people.
He founded Imose Technologies and bootstrapped the business to over $10million USD in annual revenues within a few years. He founded Teesas Education in 2021 with the aim of liberalising access to quality education and enhancing learning experiences across Africa. Teesas is the only Education Technology Company, globally, to have won the prestigious Morgan Stanley Sustainability Collaborative Award. Osayi brings unique and wide-ranging perspectives gained from his years in various industries and building impact focused organizations.
Eva Abel, Partner and Head of Investments at Oryx Impact, an impact fund of funds focused on Africa, targeting investments in the areas of economic development and job creation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and female empowerment. Prior to Oryx Impact, Eva was an Investment Manager at the European Investment Fund, where she invested close to EUR 0.5 billion in technology Venture Capital (VC) funds across Europe. She was also a Partner at Giza Polish Ventures, a Polish-Israeli VC fund focused on early stage technology investments. Eva started her career with investment banking at Diamond Capital in Lagos, Nigeria.
Prior to co-founding Babban Gona, Kola was a Managing Director and CEO of a subsidiary in the Notore Group, one of Nigeria’s leading agricultural conglomerates, where he led the development and execution of Notore’s commercial strategy across West and Central Africa, preparing the company to sell one million tons of fertilizer and establish a modern seed business. In addition, he led the effort to raise $130 million in equity. Kola brings significant leadership experience in corporate finance, business development, sales and marketing, product development and operations, across four continents with multiple global companies, including GE, Notore and Abiomed (listed as one of the top 10 stocks of the decade by Kiplinger). In addition, Kola brings extensive public sector experience as Senior Advisor to the Nigerian Minister of Agriculture. Kola has received numerous awards including being the first leader in history of a for profit social enterprise to win the prestigious $1.2M Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship.
Justina Mensah’s career spans over eight years in retail banking and marketing. She is the
Program Officer, for Deal Room and Investor Engagement at Impact Investing Ghana. She is
responsible for leading and supporting key projects including the Deal Source Africa Program,
investor engagement, and the management and running of the Ghana Angel Investor Network
(GAIN).
Before Impact Investing Ghana, Justina was the Business Manager at Unicredit Ghana's head
office branch, where she led the team and ensured the successful operation of the business
office. She is on a mission to connect investment-ready businesses to impact funds and impact
funds to limited partners and help move catalytic capital to grow the Ghanaian and African
impact investing ecosystem.
Dr. Olu Ogunfowora is the Managing Director at Ideanest Limited. Ideanest is an impact investment advisory firm and one of the Business Development Services Providers (BDSPs) accredited by the Bank of Industry (BoI) in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on access to finance. Dr. Ogunfowora provides independent advisory on impact investing, impact measurement and management to the Nigeria National Advisory Board on Impact Investing. He previously contributed towards SMEs policy development and evaluation as part of a strategy advisory project for Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Federal Ministry of Industry Trade and Investments (FMITI).
Dr. Ogunfowora has over 25 years extensive international experience across agribusiness, education, energy, healthcare, financial services, management consulting and technology industries with Accenture, EY, First Bank Holdings, MTN, Schlumberger, Ashland Oil and Telnet. While in Accenture, he provided subject matter expertise on the Nigerian Vision 20:2020 project in setting the vision, strategy development and implementation plan for Nigeria to be in the top twenty economies in the world.
Babatunde Ojo, fondly called BBT is Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of EHA Clinics Limited, a world-class integrated primary health care platform with presence in Abuja, Kano, Lagos and expanding rapidly into other key cities in Nigeria.
He is a business and finance leader with over 19 years work experience in diverse roles of accounting, finance and general management. Prior to joining EHA Clinics, he worked in a number of multinational companies such as Nigerian Breweries Plc, PZ Cussons, Reckitt, Tetra Pak and Novartis, both within Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, she’s on the board of Dayntee Farms Limited. Tosin has 15+ years of experience, spanning private equity, financial advisory, asset management and investment research. Akinropo Omoware is a lawyer and development expert with over 15 years’ experience in project management and policy advisory. He has worked extensively in Nigeria and Africa in promoting access to justice for all (especially for the most vulnerable and marginalized groups) and facilitating judicial reforms, improving business enabling environment and investment climate and generally promoting employment creation through private sector support. He has supported the development, review, implementation and impact assessment of several policies and legislations in Nigeria in various sectors of development including the leather and

Eyitayo Ozavize Salami is an educationist and investment banker with over 26 years post graduate experience cutting across education, accounting, investment banking, operations, sales, and people management. As a leader she demonstrates strong programme implementation skills and a resilience that drives and sustains reforms and transformation initiatives.
She is currently the Executive Chairman of Edo SUBEB, charged with the responsibility of ensuring that every Edo Child of basic education age has access to quality and free basic education. A portfolio that covers 1,330 primary and junior secondary schools, 390,000 students and at least 10,000 teachers.
Since coming into office in November 2021, Mrs. Salami has dedicated herself to consolidating the gains of the EdoBEST Program, an Education reform of Governor Obaseki which leverages the use of technology and data as a basis for accelerating foundational literacy and numeracy and significantly improving learning outcomes of students in the classrooms.
Dr. Omolola Salako is a global health leader, award-winning cancer researcher, and lecturer at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. With over two decades of experience specializing in oncology, she is among Nigeria's 90 skilled clinical oncologists focusing on cancer treatment. Dr. Salako earned her medical degree from the prestigious University of Lagos and dedicates her time to conducting research, lecturing, and innovating cancer care at the same institution.
She is a self-defined "Oncopreneur" and founded several vibrant startups, including Sebeccly Cancer Care, Oncopadi Technologies, and Pearl Oncology Specialist Hospital. Through Pearl Oncology Specialist Hospital, a Lagos-based chain of cancer centers, she provides affordable, quality and personalized cancer care, ensuring they receive the most effective treatments and the best chance to fight cancer.
One of her notable innovations is the Oncopadi Cancer App, which empowers cancer patients, caregivers, and clinicians to make informed care decisions. Dr. Salako leads a dynamic digital health research team that has developed the PROSECare app, an AI digital patient monitoring platform. This app helps cancer patients track and manage treatment-related side effects. The PROSECare app is currently used in the clinical and research setting by hundreds of cancer patients with over 16 cancer types on treatment across Nigeria.
Her outstanding work in the field has earned her numerous accolades. She was honored as one of the brightest minds in cancer research for 2021 by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and awarded the 2023 Global Bridges Oncology and Pfizer Global Medical Grants.
Toyin F. Sanni is Executive Vice-Chair at leading Pan - African Investment Group, Emerging Africa Capital, an ESG led group focused on investing in sectors with catalytic impact on growth and development, cutting across Investment Banking, Trusts & Asset Management, Financial Technology, Infrastructure Finance and Capacity Building.
She sits on multiple boards including serving as Chairman, Layer3 Limited, Non-Executive Director, Transnational Corporation Plc and Member, Nigeria’s National Advisory Board on Impact Investing (NABII), Chair of the NABII Committee on Wholesale Impact Investment Fund (WIIF) and Member, National Finance Committee on WIIF.

Phil is a Partner at Chapel Hill Denham and chairs the Investment Committee of the Nigeria Infrastructure Debt Fund. With three decades of experience in investment banking and principal investing, he has primarily focused on emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East, Central Europe, and Africa.
Beginning his career in 1994 at Smith New Court (now Merrill Lynch), Phil spent 13 years at Deutsche Bank and later moved to Dubai. He served as CEO of EFG-Hermes' GCC region and Head of Coverage, then as President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for MENA and Emerging Markets (ex-Asia).
Phil has a track record of capital raising, real asset investments, and REIT listings in Australia and Europe. He's a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and holds degrees from Durham University and Eton College.
Andrew Tarazid-Tarawali is an all-round finance and investment professional with more than 17 years of experience in impact investing, corporate finance, venture capital, and banking across Africa and emerging markets. He has successfully closed investment transactions as an investor and adviser in agriculture, renewable energy, fintech, and transportation across West and East Africa .
He currently serves as an Investment Manager at Small Foundation covering Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Small Foundation earlier this year, Andrew was the Associate Director of Portfolio at Acumen Fund, leading their investment work in West Africa covering Nigeria, Ghana, and Sierra Leone.
Andrew holds a bachelor's degree (Honours) from Ashesi University in Ghana and an IMBA from IE Business School, Madrid. He also holds a Professional Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Institute of Directors, Ghana and is a Licensed Investment representative (Ghana Stock Exchange).
He is a Sierra Leonean national currently based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Krisztina Tora is Chief Market Development Officer at GSG. She helps drive capital towards impact in 70 countries. In each country, she advises governments, financial institutions and others on how to accelerate capital flows to benefit people and the planet. She supports them in leading policy change and the set-up of new financial instruments and impact funds. Her work is all about system change, with a special focus on solving the SDG financing gap in emerging markets.
Omon Ukpoma-Olaiya (Nigerian) joined the Least Developed Countries Investment Platform (LDCIP) at United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) as the designated Country Relationship Manager for Rwanda and is also an Investment Specialist covering multiple countries (namely Rwanda, Nigeria, Sudan & South Sudan). She is currently based in Kigali, Rwanda.
She has 13 years’ experience in various leadership positions in Investments, Finance, Operations, Development and Programme & Budget Management. Prior to joining UNCDF, Omon worked for the private sector for 10 years in Banking & Financial Services. She led financing of various infrastructure projects across various sectors (such as Power, Oil & Gas Upstream/Downstream, Manufacturing & Telecommunications) in excess of $1Billion across Nigeria. She has worked with foremost Commercial Banks in Nigeria and one of the leading telecommunications companies in the EMEA region.
A B.A. degree holder from Universidad Complutense of Madrid and University of London (RHBNC) and with 30 years of experience, Ana has developed her career in several continents and in various sectors as online tourism, information technology, manufacturing/industrial, luxury fashion, and leather manufacturing. In the development sector, Ana has been the team leader of Mafita and GEMS3 - the two largest vocational training and economic growth DFID programmes in Nigeria -, she was also part of GIZ SEDIN2 and DFID GEMS1; she now leads the GIZ NICOP project co-funded by the EU and the BMZ as the Head of Project to increase competitiveness across selected value chains, enhance incomes and create jobs with a fully inclusive and gender focus.
Ana has participated in the creation, launch and management of recognized start-ups: eDreams (now ODIGEO), Vueling, Groupalia and BidAway, with a very strong focus on fundraising and operations management. She has held positions of high responsibility in several multinational corporations with operations in Nigeria, Spain, Switzerland, Brazil and China with strong import and export operations.
