A 2023 Self-Care Webinar Series: Introduction to the UIC Solutions Suite

Session 1

Attend this webinar to learn about an innovative program that prepares you to educate others about how the immune system functions and practical skills for an immune-supportive lifestyle. Modules address enhancing immune health through restful sleep, stress management, a balanced diet, evidence-based immunity aids, vaccinations, and annual health screenings. The downloadable modules are free and can be taught by case managers, peer support specialists, and other licensed and non-licensed practitioners. Real-life examples of the innovative use of this program will be described. This program is useful for people with mental health conditions who are at greater risk for morbidity and mortality from viral illnesses, and anyone who wants to build resilience by strengthening immune health habits.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:

1. Understand immune health risks and health disparities arising from viral illnesses, especially those prevalent among people with mental health conditions

2. Recognize what the research suggests about how to enhance immune health

3. Become familiar with a free program in the UIC Solutions Suite that teaches how the immune system functions and practical skills to adopt an immune-supportive lifestyle
