Dr. Abel Olaleye is currently a Professor in the Department of Estate Management of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. He teaches and carries out research in the area of real estate investment portfolio and market analyses. He has published widely and has presented papers in conferences at home and abroad.

He has publications in Journal of Property Investment and Finance, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, Journal of Financial Management of Property and Construction, Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education, International Journal of Strategic Property Management among others. Dr. Olaleye serves as reviewer for local and international journals such as the International Journal of Strategic Property Management, a research journal of Vinius Gediminas Technical University, in Scotland.

He is an editorial member and reviewer for International Journal of Project Planning and Finance, a journal being published by Construction Industry Development Institute, Kumasi Ghana since 2009 to date. Dr Olaleye has served as external examiner to the Property Studies Programme at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He has also won several awards; among which is the Highly Commended Paper award of the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence in 2008. He is a registered estate surveyor and valuer and an associate member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers. He is a member of the African Real Estate Society and an academic member of the American Real Estate Society as well.
