Event Details

The HouseProud Pledge is a scheme that social housing providers can sign up to, to meaningfully demonstrate their commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. Launched in 2019 and informed by the 'No Place like Home?' research report, the Pledge gives a framework for any social housing provider looking to become more inclusive and supportive of LGBTQ+ residents.

Stonewall Housing and HouseProud have been delivering the scheme in partnership since March 2023. Over 30 organisations are signed up to the Pledge, and we have huge ambitions to reach more housing providers, and more LGBTQ+ residents, across the country.

This LGBT+ History Month, join us for a panel event with experts from the HouseProud Pledge Advisory Board as they explore the role of the HouseProud Pledge scheme in supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion across the social housing sector.

Speakers for the event are:

Andy King- Professor of Sociology at the University of Surrey

Lynne Nicholls- Director of Leonis Solutions

Michael Verrier- Chair of London & Quadrant LGBTQ+ Resident Forum

The session will be chaired by Alex Duffy, Training Lead for Stonewall Housing.
