She is the founder of JRF Consulting Services, established in 2009, specializing in training and strategy for the business development field. Before starting her business, Julie served as Director of Business Development for First Tech Federal Credit Union.
Julie organizes the annual BD NOW Innovation Summit, a unique event held in distinctive locations across the country. Focused on the future of business development, the summit brings together professionals to share cutting-edge strategies, innovative ideas, and success stories, fostering a collaborative environment for growth and innovation. Barb Lowman is the President of CUNA Strategic Services (CSS). Serving in the credit union industry for more than twenty-five years, she is a seasoned credit union technology and operations executive with a proven track record of delivering innovative products and superior service to help credit unions and their members thrive. As a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and relationship-driven leader, Barb genuinely believes in the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People” and lives it in both her personal and professional lives every day. As an extremely motivated and driven individual, she embraces her role and the opportunity to partner with credit unions to create and execute growth strategies and improve the financial lives of their members.

When she’s not working, Barb loves to play golf, spend time with her family and friends, cuddle with one of her four rescue dogs, or simply commune with nature at the beach, getting lost in whatever music is currently streaming on her phone.

Shirley began her journey into the cooperative movement over 30 years ago when a colleague introduced her to credit unions. Since then, she has worn many hats, from risk management to leadership and community development, driven by a desire to empower credit unions and ensure financial services are accessible to underserved communities. For the past decade, Shirley has focused on collaborating with CDFI credit unions to enhance their impact on financial empowerment and inclusion. She enjoys using research and data to uncover opportunities, understanding that true insights require deep analysis combined with human compassion. Shirley is a CUDE and an animal lover, volunteering with organizations like K9 for Warriors. She supports nonprofits focused on youth empowerment, financial education, domestic violence, and Alzheimer's advocacy.

Jonathan Taylor has been in the movement for 17 years primarily in the CUSO space starting his career at the US’s oldest “CUSO” the Maine Credit Union League Insurance Trust where he co-founded and went on to help lead the CUSO created CU Certified. He was the VP of Sales at Arkatechture (Now Arkatechture CUSO) and now is the CEO of CU Sol (a 4 Credit Union CUSO) which leads the CU Safe Initiative (A CU focused Domestic Violence Initiative). He is passionate about saving small credit unions and leagues and believes in solutions with soul as well as his personal motto “If it can’t be fun it can’t be done”.
