Annual General Meeting 2018 & Cocktail

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Members of the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong will be held on Friday 26 October 2018 at 18:15 (registration from 18:00) at the BLCC Office (11/F, Lee Garden One, 33 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay) for the following purposes:

1. To open the meeting and establish quorum.
2. To approve the Minutes of the 24th Annual General Meeting of 23 October 2017. (The minutes are joined in appendix 1).
3. To receive and consider the Chairman's Report
4. To receive and consider the Annual Financial Statement of 2017. (The Annual Financial Statement is joined in appendix 2).
5. To consider & approve the updated Articles of Association. (The updated Articles of Association are joined in appendix 3).
6. To consider and appoint an Auditor.
7. To elect/re-elect Directors of the Board.
8. To transact any other business of the Chamber.

Appendixes & relevant documents for the AGM will be emailed to you and are also available in this event description. Fill out & return the proxy form if you cannot make it to the AGM but would like to be represented.

The AGM will be followed by a cocktail event organized at Belgos in Causeway Bay. Attendance of the AGM is for BLCC members only; the cocktail event is open to all who are interested in the Chamber (registration required). Planning of the evening will be thusly:

18:00 - 18:15: registration.

18:15 - 19:30: AGM.

19:30 - 21:30: cocktail drinks at Belgos.

We humbly thank our departing Chairman Mr. Cremers for his continuous dedication to the BLCC over the last many years. For the last 2 years it was our pleasure to have him as your Chairman but as already announced at the AGM in 2017, this year he will vacate the seat of Chairperson.

Additionally, as per agenda item 7, according to our Articles of Association half of the Board members shall retire each year and the Directors to retire should be those who have been longest in office since their last election. Some of the retiring Directors have declined to be re-elected.

Subsequently the BLCC invites candidates for the election of new Directors for the coming year. If you yourself are interested or if you would like to nominate a person employed by a BLCC Member for election to Director, please reach out to our Chairman Mr. Cremers for more information or fill out & return the nomination form.
