Peter J. Jin was an Associate Professor at Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. He received the BS degree in Automation at Tsinghua University, China. He received his MS and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007 and 2009 respectively. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Research Associate at Traffic Operations and Safety Lab (TOPS) at University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked at Center for Transportation Research, at the University of Texas at Austin as a postdoctoral fellow and research associate from 2011 to 2014. From 2014-2020, he was an Assistant Professor with the CEE Department at Rutgers University. He has more than 45 peer-reviewed journal publications and more than 70 conference papers. His research interests include transportation big data analytics, intelligent transportation systems, connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). He holds three patents in both UAVs and CAVs.
