With more than 20 years of experience in strategic positions in the banking sector and multilateral financial institutions, Thierno-Habib HANN is the Managing Director/CEO of Shelter Afrique. Habib was the Asia/Pacific Lead for housing finance & capital markets at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), based in Bangkok and previously in charge of Africa and the Middle East, based in Nairobi. Habib has led the strategy and implementation of housing finance programs globally with a portfolio of over USD 2 billion. Over the years, he has developed housing finance transactions in the US, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Africa valued over USD 32 billion.

Habib has an extensive international experience in housing finance, capital markets & structured finance, set-up and management of investment funds with banking and multilateral institutions. In the US, he led investment teams issuing mortgage-backed securities (RMBS/CMO), credit derivatives (CDS), at JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs, as Manager and Vice President. At the World Bank Group, Habib was the Private Sector Development Program Manager in Guinea; whose main responsibility was to design and implement the business climate improvement program, while developing a bankable pipeline of investments and government advisory projects in strategic sectors of the economy. Habib began his career at the consulting firm Arthur Andersen, LLC as a Senior Consultant in Financial Services and Capital Markets in New York City.

Habib holds an MBA in Finance & Investments from the Zicklin School of Business, Bernard Baruch, New York City; a master’s degree in accounting and finance (M.S.T.C.F) and a bachelor’s degree in management and applied economics (GEA), from Paris IX Dauphine University, with honors. He has also passed all levels of the CFA Exam (levels I, II & III), the Series 7 and 63 trading licenses of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) in New York.

A native of Guinea (Conakry), Habib is the co-founder of "AngelAfrica" and speaks fluent French and English, with a working knowledge of Spanish. Endowed with impeccable credibility and integrity, a strong team spirit and a great ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with development partners and investors of all stripes, Habib is very passionate about development finance, and harnessing national resources to improve local populations’ living conditions.

Jason is the Executive Director at Unity Homes. Unity Homes is a vertically integrated real estate development company with almost 3,000 apartments under project at Tatu City, as well as in Nigeria by a sister company.

Prior to Unity Homes, Jason worked at Civicon, a regional construction company, from 2005 until 2017, where he went from Construction Manager in Uganda to eventually the Group CEO. Whilst at Civicon he was very involved in the nascent Oil and Gas industry and gained extensive experience in the region delivering projects in Uganda, South Sudan, DR Congo and Kenya.

In 2018 he took up an executive role at Unity Homes, where he was already a director and shareholder, and together with the other Executive Director in the business is responsible for implementing the corporate strategy. Jason holds an Oil & Gas MBA from Middlesex University.

With over 15 years of experience in construction project implementation, research, advisory services, policy, training, capacity building and business development in Kenya and abroad, I have developed critical leadership and technical skills for effective design, implementation and evaluation of organizational growth strategies. My work also exposed me to very valuable network resources constituting key sectoral actors spanning investors, innovators, suppliers, contractors, professionals, government, property developers, training & research institutions and non- governmental entities. I am a registered infrastructure cost specialist (QS), member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK), the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS-UK), the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) as well as present and current board member of various institutions. I have multidisciplinary skills, experience, and academic training in construction, project cost management, strategy & innovation, procurement & supply chain as well as public policy management. This rear combination of skill sets coupled with a wide range of local and global exposure has greatly contributed to my result-based leadership at the National Construction Authority where I currently serve as a General Manager. My interest is in the Executive Leadership and Management roles of state institutions, multinationals, development and humanitarian organizations.

He was appointed Managing Director by the giant company effective March 17, 2022. He took over from Samuel Kariuki, who resigned to pursue other interests. The announcement of Mbae did not come as a surprise but as a story of resilience and hard work. Prior to this appointment, Mbae served as the Chief Operating Officer of Centum Re overseeing operations in Kenya and Uganda. He was the founding Managing Director of Vipingo Development, the largest Centum Re subsidiary, which he led from setting up and transforming into a business valued at over 20 billion shillings with over 9 billion shillings in sales and 5.3 billion shillings in cash collections.

Kenneth Mbae studied biochemistry at Kenyatta University, graduating in 2010. He then joined Centum the following year as an intern and it did not take long for him to realize that he had a thing for real estate. The company harnessed his talents and utilized them fully. Before being the managing director of the Vipingo project, he was the deputy managing director for Centum’s project called Athena Properties. This is the project that delivered Two Rivers Mall.

Kioi is the Co-Managing Director for IHS Kenya responsible for Credit and Portfolio Management. He comes with over 28 years’ experience in Construction, Engineering, Development Management and Real Estate Investment. Over the years he has gained experience in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa across different asset classes working for sovereign backed asset owners and blue chip Development and Construction companies. He holds an MBA from Bradford School of Management in the UK, an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University in the UK and a Diploma in Building Engineering from the Kenya Polytechnic. He is affiliated to the Institution of Engineers of Kenya, the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK, The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the UK and The Urban Land Institute in the US.

Gladys Atieno Nyasuna Wanga (born 7 March 1981) is a Kenyan politician who is the current Governor of Homa Bay County. She is the first female Governor from the Western Region of the Country and one of the seven female governors elected during the 2022 Kenyan General Election. She served as the County Woman Representative of Homa Bay County from 2013 to 2022.

She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Health Management from the Kenyatta University in 2004 and later on graduated from Kenyatta University in 2012 with a Master's Degree in Health Management. At Kenyatta University, she was the first female to participate and win an elective seat as the General Secretary of the Union of the Students.

In her early career life, Wanga was initially the Program Manager at the Kenyan Trust for African Rock Art formerly Trust for Africa Art before retaining the same role at the Liverpool VCT Care and Treatment.[3] In 2013, Wanga ran for an elective seat for Women Representative at the Homa Bay County where she emerged victorious.[4] In Parliament, Wanga was a member of Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare in Kenya.[2]

On 25 August 2022, she succeeded Cyprian Awiti as the second governor of Homa Bay County.[
