Join us for an engaging in-person workshop designed to empower community residents with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively advocate for causes that matter to you. Community residents are invited to attend to gain the tools to create a compelling narrative and influence public policy.

Through this hands-on skill building workshop participants will:

1. Expand your knowledge and ability to influence public policy

2. Learn how to tell a compelling story that persuades decision-makers

3. Understand the legislative landscape, learn how to track an issue, and identify opportunities for story telling within the legislative landscape.

While the training will have a special focus on addressing high-cost lending and combatting predatory lending in South Carolina, the skills you acquire can be applied to a wide range of advocacy issues. This training is in collaboration with the SC Fair Lending Alliance, SC Association for Community Economic Development, the SC Community Loan Fund, and the United Way of Greenville County.

Attendance is free (registration required), and lunch will be provided.
