Vince August
Comedian/Actor
Vince August made his standup comedy debut at Caroline’s on Broadway in 1997. Over the years he honed his skills and is now recognized as one of the very best at improvisation and standup comedy. Vince made a name for himself on-camera in commercials, TV show appearances, soap operas (As the World Turns and General Hospital) and as a regular actor on the wildly popular ABC-TV hidden camera series, “Primetime: What Would You Do?”
It was the ABC hidden camera show and his stand-up that raised the issue before the New Jersey Supreme Court whether he could remain as the Township of South Hackensack Municipal Judge where he presided from2008 ~ 2013. The international news surrounding Vince’s dual careers caught the world by storm in 2013 when the New Jersey Supreme Court gave Vince an agonizing ultimatum: choose between being his passion for the law as Judge and his passion for entertainment. Vince chose his entertainment passion, resigning from the bench, because in the end “you never
give up on a dream.”
Vince became the full-time warm-up comic for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah; tours internationally with Trevor Noah in arenas (Madison Square Garden, Staples Center in L.A., The Forum on L.A., The Belle Centre Montreal to name just three) and major theaters across the US and Canada.
All along, Vince has maintained a successful solo law practice in Bergen County New Jersey while pursuing his entertainment career. Vince is currently working on a scripted version of his truly unique life story and unscripted television show.
