Adventure Queensland

Adventure QLD is the only industry body representing the youth and adventure sector of QLD not only within our state, but also at a federal level. Over the years we have built an extensive network of contacts at all levels of tourism and governments, allowing us a platform to raise issues of importance to our members and also to disseminate and distill information down to our members across accommodation, activities and transport.

Our dedicated committee of volunteers meet on a regular basis, with representatives local to all regions to ensure an equal voice for you, your business and your customers. Your local contact is also your first port of call whether it is to raise a concern you wish to take further, to ask for more information or to find out a bit more about what is happening around the state and beyond.

After a challenging covid era we are looking forward to restarting our networking program, working closer than ever with local organisations alongside our traditional itinerary of larger scale events to afford businesses of all shapes and sizes those invaluable opportunities to connect and form relationships to push their business to the next level.

Our 3 core pillars also include advocacy, and we are proud to have been involved across a wide range of industry specific over the years. Given the value of our sector to QLD we are proud to represent our members and push for positive changes to ease operational concerns and ensure that as many travellers as possible can enjoy the wide range of experiences on offer in the Sunshine State.

Event Details

It is more important than ever for the tourism industry that we stand united, not only to ensure that our industry receives the support it so needs from our government but to also help raise each other back up as we emerge out of covid and into the new world of travel.

Adventure Queensland is committed to advocating for our industry and have worked tirelessly to support all our members through covid. We have waived membership fees for 2 years, lobbied for the extension of job keeper, liaised with website travel as a united voice for our members, made a submission to the WHM visa enquiry and have helped shape tourism campaigns that drive our target market to visit Queensland. Adventure Queensland now invites you to be join your local representative, Hana Robinson for a 2 hour workshop and networking session over a beer or 2 next Wednesday.

The aim of this session is to be an open forum for feedback and suggestions from you, our members. This session invites you to share your challenges and successes stories, learn more about AQ and spit ball some ideas. It's your chance to guide Adventure Queensland advocacy projects, catch up with your local rep and be part of the important conversations that we need to have as an industry.

We will discuss the new ALP Governments commitments to our industry and workshop some ideas about how AQ can best support you to get back on your feet. We will share some of the latest statistics but more importantly we will hear from you about how things are going on the ground.

For those of you who know Hana you will know that this will be a highly informative and inspirational couple of hours. Hana is dedicated to representing AQ's members and beyond passionate about our industry so there is no doubt that you will get a lot from this session.
