COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is an introduction to the basic accounting concepts, principles and standards underlying financial accounting systems, Internal Control Components, National Government Internal Control System (NGICS) and Overview of the PPSAS.


COURSE OBJECTIVES:

  • To understand the basic principles of internal control system vis-à-vis basic accounting concepts for non-accountants;
  • To provide participants with the basic knowledge of accounting principles and assumptions.
  • To provide the participants the basic knowledge on how to evaluate the Internal Control System of their respective agency;
  • To be able to apply the learning in the preparation of simple bookkeeping and financial reports.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS:



The webinar is especially designed for government employees from NGAs, GOCCs/GFIs, LGUs and SUCs, particularly those assigned in the internal audit, accounting, finance, treasury, budget, asset management, general services, human resource management, corporate planning, operations systems developers, procurement, legal, etc.

Those in the private sector especially those who have contracts/transactions with government or intend to transact or do business with government are encouraged to attend this training course.
