Roberto is the founding director of BCSD Malaysia Berhad, the Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia, a Global Network partner of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Roberto Benetello is the CEO of MAREA Berhad – Malaysia Recycling Alliance, Malaysia’s first voluntary, not-for-profit, industry-driven EPR platform to tackle consumer packaging waste issues.

Roberto is a corporate sustainability expert. He strives to assist businesses accelerate the transition to a sustainable world by offering tools, methodologies, training, and capacity building to support the embedment of sustainability into corporate strategy and operations.

With over twenty-five years’ experience, Roberto’s career includes several senior general management positions with both fortune-500 companies and start-ups, in countries such as Italy, UK, Spain and Malaysia. His main skills include corporate sustainability, international relations and business facilitation, strategic business planning, general management, marketing and business development.

Roberto holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Italy and an MA in Marketing from Lincoln University, UK.

A multi-lingual communications professional with an extensive background in promoting international company development overseas. An expert in transforming corporate reputation through brand-building, high-level stakeholder engagement and community outreach. Possesses extensive experience working with public and private organisations and firms of all sizes and stages of growth.
Acquired immense knowledge of Southeast Asian markets during her 20 years in Asia, specifically Singapore and Malaysia. Work experience includes senior positions in leading local and international PR consultancies based in London, Singapore and Malaysia. Worked as a business consultant for German companies entering Asia through the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Network.

Emily Oi is a climate policy consultant with nearly a decade of multi-sectoral experience across international and national level. Emily specialises in policy advocacy and analysis, strategic engagement and facilitation in the climate change and corporate sustainability field. Currently, she is a board member of Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Malaysia, a CEO-led platform for Malaysian businesses to collaborate and strengthen capacity on sustainability. Emily also now acts as a regional consultant to the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) – a global environmental non-profit organisation, where she helps facilitate Asia Pacific partnerships as well as conduct climate and energy policy research related to regional energy transition.

Emily played a pivotal role as a core working group member of the Technology and Innovation Cluster under the Climate Change Advisory Panel to Malaysia’s Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change (NRECC). Emily was also a YSEALI Professional Fellow under the Sustainable Development and Environment theme, where she supported the Virginia State's Albermale County's Climate Resilience Planning process. Prior to that, she was a Senior Policy Analyst with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC), a federal agency under the Ministry of Environment and Water. Emily also served in various capacity with Ernst and Young (EY) Malaysia, YTL Corporation Berhad, Malaysian Youth Delegation (MYD) and Power Shift Malaysia. Emily holds a MSc Environmental Monitoring and Management as well as a BEng Chemical Engineering with Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham Malaysia.

Celine is the Program Manager at the Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia (BCSD MY), where she leads sustainability-focused training programs and facilitate projects aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies that support long-term business success. Her expertise spans the circular economy, climate action, renewable energy, and social issues, including human rights. With a deep commitment to sustainability, Celine is dedicated to forging meaningful connections with fellow advocates and strengthening corporate climate strategies to ensure net-zero target setting in line with climate science.

Celine recently completed her Master’s research in Microbiology at Universiti Sains Malaysia, focusing on infectious diseases with zoonotic potential in wildlife. She is a passionate advocate for human-wildlife coexistence and aims to integrate the One Health approach through effective science communication to promote informed environmental conservation decisions.

Her commitment to One Health and EcoHealth has led her to collaborate with both local and international organizations on initiatives in biodiversity conservation and climate action. She has served as a student ambassador for the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) in the U.K. and was selected as a professional fellow in the U.S. Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) in 2022. During her fellowship in Austin, Texas, she worked with local government bodies on public health and environmental issues, including natural disaster preparedness, disease response strategies, and urban sustainability.

In 2023, Celine was selected as a regional fellow at the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Studies (SEARCA) through the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) Fellowship program. In this role, she develops One Health training materials aimed at promoting best practices among agricultural and rural communities.

Seeths Nair is a seasoned Project Manager with 10 years of experience spanning various sectors, including construction, renewable energy, safety consulting, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Bachelor's degree in Audio-Visuals, and an MSc in Project Management. Over the years, Seeths has successfully managed and completed numerous complex projects for high-profile clients, such as Astro, Petronas, KLIA2, The Ministry of Human Resource, and projects like the Port Botany Expansion, Baulderstone Wongawallan, and Toowoomba Bus Terminal in Australia. Her expertise extends to facilitating in-house training programs, where she shares her comprehensive knowledge in Project Management, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and ESG programs.

Seeths is deeply committed to continuous learning and professional development, staying attuned to the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovative learning platforms. This dedication not only enhances her own skill set but also ensures that the training she delivers is current and relevant to the challenges faced by professionals in today's evolving landscape. In her training approach, Seeths emphasizes the importance of hands-on learning methods, interactive activities, and practical applications. She strongly believes that if it can’t be reduced, reused, repaired, refurbished, resold, recycled, or composted, then it should be restricted or redesigned.

Eza plays a pivotal role at SPRG, overseeing HR functions and managing our training division as a key coordinator and facilitator. Her diverse background equips her with a strong foundation in education, human resources, and sustainability.

She is the primary liaison with HRD Corp for training matters and also leads SPRG Malaysia’s ESG Task Force, driving the company’s journey toward becoming a sustainable, ESG-compliant organization. Eza is passionate about embedding sustainability and ESG principles into individual learning and development initiatives.

With a Bachelor's degree in Science Education and certificates in Company Secretarial, Arabic Language, and First Aid, Eza brings a unique blend of expertise to our team. Her international experience spans teaching in Malaysia and Qatar, as well as holding HR and administrative roles in multinational companies in Sudan. This diverse experience enriches her approach to coordinating and facilitating Strategic Public Relations Sdn Bhd’s (SPRG) training programs, including those conducted in partnership with the Business Council for Sustainable Development.
