Mitchell Steinhart, J.S.C., presently sits in the Criminal Division, presiding over Drug Court, now known as Recovery Court, in Bergen County since January 2021. Judge Steinhart formerly sat in
the Family Division hearing domestic violence, non-dissolution, and domestic violence gun forfeiture matters. He took the bench in January 2018 after a 30-year career as staff attorney for
the Bergen County Board of Social Services. As attorney for the Board, Judge Steinhart appeared in countless child support hearings as well as in matters involving adult guardianships. Judge
Steinhart has conducted/monitored lectures child support, guardianship, and ethics matters. He is a former President of the New Jersey Association of County Welfare Attorneys, former co-chair of the Bergen County Bar Association Family Law and Elder Law Committees and is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Will Hernandez has been in the field of addiction treatment for the past 24 years. He has been employed by the Bergen County Recovery Court Program as a Substance Abuse
Evaluator (SAE) for 7 years and more recently as the Recovery Court Coordinator for the past 8 years. He has a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling, has been licensed by the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor since 2008,
and has been certified/licensed clinician since 1998 in the state of Illinois. Additionally, he has been recognized as professional educator in the state of New Jersey since 2011.

His experience in the field of alcohol and drug treatment includes working in every major type of alcohol and drug treatment available, including working as a Federal Pretrial
Services Officer, providing alcohol and drug treatment, in Washington, DC and as Drug Treatment Specialist for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, in the state of New Jersey.
