  • Global trends in the applications of AI and other digital technologies beyond remote learning
  • Teaching and learning needs of schools and enterprises in Hong Kong
  • How we can encourage education institutes and enterprises to adopt technologies to develop talents
  • A new EdTech Heroes Award to celebrate early adopters of learning technologies in K12, higher education and enterprise learning


We are pleased to have Prof Rose Luckin (University College of London) to deliver the opening keynote address on "How might we co-learn and co-create with AI?" Prof Luckin is a world renowned thought leader in the use of AI in education. Mr Larry Nelson, General Manager (Education), Microsoft Asia, will be the closing keynote speaker. He will talk about how AI will reshape the future of learning.

EdTech Heroes Award

Objectives


The EdTech Heroes Award seek to:


·      Encourage adoption of technologies to innovate teaching and learning

·      Celebrate visionary, bold and innovative organisations in transforming the learning experience

·      Promote a culture of experimentation amongst schools and enterprises

·      Foster peer-to-peer learning from successful and not so successful experiences

·      Build a community of 21st century learning organisations


Target Applicants


There will be two tracks:

  1. K12 and
  2. Adult Learning (higher education and enterprise learning)


Schools and enterprises that have used technologies to improve learning in one or both of the following ways will be eligible:

  • To make learning more engaging, empowering, personalized, creative, interactive and collaborative 
  • To make teaching/training more effective with improved access to quality contents, improved communication, easier assessment and streamlined administration


Esperanza is now working with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and EDUCATE Ventures Researchon the Award mechanism. ISTE and EDUCATE Ventures Research will write a case on the award winner of each track. We shall announce the details at the seminar.
