Join us at Generator for a hands-on Bike Maintenance Clinic, where you will learn essential skills to keep your bike running smoothly. This beginner-friendly workshop will cover essential bike repair and maintenance techniques, including how to care for and adjust your drivetrain, repair a flat tire, adjust brakes, and perform a basic safety check. Our goal is to give you the confidence in handling common bike issues on your own.
Paying someone else to tune your bike can cost anywhere from $75 to north of $150. Learning to maintain your bike yourself takes time, but will improve performance, extend it's lifespan, and save you $$$ on multiple fronts.
This is a BYO-Bike event!
You don't have to bring your bike, but during the class we will try to utilize participant bikes to learn how to identify and evaluate issues. Depending on time we will repair what we can and offer guidance if further attention is needed.
Skills we will cover:
- How to perform a basic safety check
- How derailleurs work and how to adjust your shifting
- How to adjust your brakes
- How to remove and reinstall your wheels
- How to repair a flat tire
- And other basic adjustments that are easy to do yourself
Every participant will also receive a Free Day Pass Certificate so you can return to Generator on your own time and use our bike tools to tune up your ride!
