The Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), in collaboration with Mazars Thailand and in partnership with the Joint Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), the Belgian-Luxembourg/Thai Chamber of Commerce (BeLuThai), the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC), the Thai-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (TNCC), the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and the SwissThai Chamber of Commerce, is delighted to invite you and your friends to join the "Breakfast Talk: Foreign-sourced income to become taxable from 2024".
Last month, the Director General of the Thai Revenue Department announced a departure from the previous ruling that foreign-sourced income was only taxable if the money was transferred to Thailand in the same year as it was earned. Unfortunately, the new ruling indicates that all foreign-sourced income will be taxable if remitted to Thailand, independent of the year it was earned. The interpretation change will apply to taxable income brought into Thailand from 1 January 2024 onwards. This has raised numerous questions in the foreign communities. Therefore, this breakfast session will clarify and explain more about this new rule and guidelines.
