EuroCham and BritCham present a breakfast talk on the current status of Cambodia regarding the Everything But Arms arrangement, or EBA, which guarantees free access to the European market for all exports except for weapons and ammunition.
As the European Union Trade Commissioner has announced her intention to launch a process to review the EBA preferences granted to Cambodia, our speakers will discuss the possible timeframe, scenarios and consequences that can unfold in the next months and years to come.
Speakers will include the European Union Ambassador to Cambodia, H. E. Mr. George Edgar who will explain where Cambodia actually stands in the process of a possible revision of EBA preferences; Mr. Heshanth Fernando, Regional Commercial Manager at Marks & Spencer who will share the private sector's sentiment with regard to the various possible scenarios; and Ms. Kohe Hasan, Directors of Resource Law LLC, Reed Smith's Singapore Alliance Partner Law Firm who will shed light on the legal perspective.
