Event Details

This virtual session will review ethics requirements for engineers and planners based on the canons of ethics from the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), in addition to the specific ethics laws of New Jersey.

    Transportation Engineering Expert Witness at Robson Forensic

    Gordon Meth, PE, PP, PTOE, PTP, RSP2I has 30 years of professional experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning, including analysis, design, testimony, and forensic investigation. He is currently an expert witness for Robson Forensic, and prepares reports for litigation throughout the United States. He has a bachelors and masters in Civil Engineering from The University of Waterloo, and an MBA from Montclair State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in 24 states, DC, and one Canadian province, and he is a professional planner in New Jersey. Gordon has been a member of ITE for over 30 years, and he is presently Chair of the Traffic Engineering Council and International Director to the ITE International Board for the Northeastern District. In the past he has served as the President of the Metropolitan New York-New Jersey Section of ITE, Chair of the Northeastern District of ITE, and on the Transportation Professional Certification Board.

The winner of the 2021 Dr. Louis J. Pignataro Memorial Transportation Education Award will be presented to Abdelrahman Ismael, graduate Research Assistant (RA) at Center for Infrastructure, Transportation, and the Environment (CITE) and at the VREF Center of Excellence for Sustainable Urban Freight Systems.
