Save the date on Monday, April 28th from 9AM – 3PM for a day of advocacy on our shared priorities at City Hall. We will be organizing meetings with District and At-Large Councilmembers so that we make the voice of our community heard in the budget process.

The Key Asks of the CDC Community:

  • General Operating Support: we need a new, flexible, and multi-year general operating support fund from the City to support the critical role CDCs play as community anchors.

  • Shallow Rent Subsidy: the Shallow Rent Subsidy program helps make our subsidized housing affordable to tenants so they're not choosing between healthy food or medicine and paying the rent on time.
  • Quick Strike Property Acquisition Fund: we need to take action to prevent the out of state investor class from jeopardizing the stock of affordable housing in Philadelphia. A quick strike property acquisition fund will enable CDCs with a track record of real estate success to acquire properties on the private market to ensure long term affordability and local control of property are preserved.

Please click the link below to register. Let us know which District Councilperson represents your organizations target area (select up to two if your organization is in more than one district) and which At-Large you would prioritize meeting with (no guarantee we can accommodate these requests, but we will try). Please also let us know whether you will be available for both the morning and afternoon, or just one of those times.
