Economic inclusion, which CEDAM previously referred to as "financial empowerment," is a critical component of building thriving communities. This work expands access to safe and affordable financial products, addresses systemic barriers to financial well-being, and creates more inclusive economic opportunities.
In our final CED 101 session in 2024, we'll discuss the full scope of the economic inclusion field, explain why we've updated our terminology, and share examples of how organizations across Michigan are updating their programs to meet the needs of our communities.
