Over the last decade, educational institutions have seen changes in many formats, from structure to delivery modes. These changes became visible and inevitable after the Coronavirus (COVID-19) spread across the globe, especially when it was declared a pandemic.
To control the spread of the deadly contagious virus, most of the countries introduced lockdowns or movement restrictions. These restrictions impacted nearly all the industries, businesses, and organisations, including educational institutions. This drastic change came with opportunities, as well as, challenges particularly faced by the education sector. The present talk, therefore, focuses on highlighting some of the opportunities and challenges, both for the perspective of providers and seekers of education. Discussion may revolve around, but will not be limited to

http://www.iium.edu.my/Dr. Muhammad Tahir Jan has a PhD in Business Administration (Marketing). Prior to that, he did his MBA after being graduated Cum Laude in Bachelor’s degree. He has been actively training the executives of many companies, and delivering talks and presentations, in various countries for over the last fifteen (15) years.
Dr. Jan is also a very active researcher and has published over forty (40) articles in accredited international indexed journals. He has presented his research in more than twenty-five (25) International conferences. Due to his research capabilities, he was given “Best Researcher Award” by International Islamic University Malaysia.
Dr. Jan has well-developed communication and presentation skills along with the ability to handle a large number of students. In 2018, he was awarded “IIUM Top Young Supervisor” because he successfully graduated more than fifteen (15) postgraduate students in one year. He also actively runs educational channels of various social media platforms, where he educates people from around the globe on different interesting topics.
Presently, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Jan is an Associate Professor of Marketing, Associate Editor of an International Indexed Journal, Leader of Faculty’s Sustainable Development Project, Member of Curriculum Review Committee, and a Seminar Coordinator at the Department of Business Administration, Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia.
