This program will cover:

  • Architectural Guidelines: The importance of these guidelines, how to properly adopt guidelines and ensure your community has protocol in place to avoid selective enforcement.
  • Trees: Who is responsible to maintain? Common challenges regarding trees and maintenance issues.
  • Views: View Protection defined, when is an obstruction considered unreasonable, can/should your governing documents define what is unreasonable?
  • ADUs – are there any "reasonable restrictions" an association can put in place? How will ADUs affect parking, common area amenities and other impacts on the community?
  • What architectural guidelines should your community consider regarding ADUs, Security Cameras, Ring Doorbell, and other projects?
