We’ll learn the basics, such as what tea is, where tea is grown and produced, how tea becomes white, green, oolong, black and pu’erh, the difference between tea and tisane, and health benefits. We encourage you to toss that teabag and discover the ease of brewing loose-leaf tea. We’ll cover selecting proper temperature and steeping times, to achieve a flavorful cup of tea.

This class is recommended for all people curious about tea. Homemade Chinese custard tartlets will also be served.

After the cooking class, we’ll continue our celebration of the Chinese New Year by tasting unique teas from the top tea producing Asian countries guided by a local tea expert.
