Professor J. Kevin Baird is a medical microbiologist with the Centre for Tropical Medicine & Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Since 2007 he has been posted as their Head of Unit at the Eijkman-Oxford Clinical Research Unit within the Indonesian government’s premier biotechnology laboratory, the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology on the campus of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital and the University of Indonesia School of Medicine at Salemba in central Jakarta.

Prior to this position, Prof. Baird served for 22 years on active duty in the Medical Service Corps of the United States Navy, where he attained the rank of Captain with numerous overseas postings, military decorations and service ribbons as a tropical infections specialist. In 2005, the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene awarded him the Bailey K. Ashford Medal for outstanding contributions in the field of Tropical Medicine. In 2015 he was named a Fellow of the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. Prof. Baird has served on numerous advisory boards to the World Health Organisation and as a consultant to major pharmaceutical companies developing medicines for tropical infections. A globally recognized subject matter expert, he has authored over 250 technical peer-reviewed articles concerning
tropical infections.

H. Arief Rachadiono Wismansyah B.Sc., M.Kes. is the mayor of Tangerang since being elected in 2013.

He graduated from Western Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management in 2000. Later, he completed his master’s degree in Gadjah Mada University, obtaining a degree in healthcare administration in 2006.

After returning from the United States, he joined his parents’ business and later became the CEO of PT Sari Asih Group. In 2008, he ran as deputy mayor under Wahidin Halim. In May 2013, Halim resigned in order to run in the 2014 legislative elections, which resulted in Arief becoming the acting mayor.

In the 2013 elections, Arief ran with Sachrudin as his deputy, resulting in the pair being officially appointed as mayors.

Programs throughout his tenure included the expansion of the city’s nine waste banks and establishment of a BRT system named Trans Tangerang. He ran once more in the 2018 elections as the single running candidate, being backed by all parties in the city council.

Dr Neville Young joined the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network in June 2016. He has a real interest and track record in supporting the delivery of high-quality research and innovation in the UK.

Within Yorkshire he is responsible for supporting the adoption of high quality innovation that benefits patients and drives efficiencies in the NHS. Nationally, Neville is currently an NIHR reviewer and sits on the NHS AI Lab Advisory group and is currently Vice Chair of the SBRI cancer panel.

Neville has previously been Chair of the AHSN Clinical Directors Forum and is involved in the AHSN network strategy development, plays a leading role in developing the networks position on real world evaluation, working closely with NICE, ABHI and the ABPI on this subject. He also supports UK businesses who wish to export and works closely with Department of International Trade (DIT) and the regional Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to attract investment into the region from international territories.

Dr Young has worked as an academic researcher, a drug trial manager, a consultant, as a director for a health tech start up and is focused on helping to identify and support the “pull" from the healthcare systems for innovative health technologies.

He completed his doctorate in Molecular Embryology from Kings College London, before working at the Institute of Cancer Research in London and then the Institute of Molecular Bio-Sciences in Queensland, Australia before returning to the UK and working in research development, Healthtech innovation and the AHSN network.
