NTT is the corporate lead for the UN Sustainability Development Goal #11 which focuses on sustainable cities and communities. We will discuss the role of technology in advancing the objectives of conservation, smarter and more environmentally friendly cities as well as improving agricultural productivity particularly for remote communities.

Joining us will be Andrew Briggs, Chief Global Business Officer of NTT Ltd. and Wen-Ming Wong, Senior Vice President, Global Business, Asia Pacific of NTT Ltd.

As Chief Global Business Officer, Andrew’s role is to maximize sales, profitability, and client satisfaction for our global and international clients.

Andrew was previously Dimension Data’s Group Executive for Global Business. He joined Dimension Data as part of the Merchants acquisition in 1997. After relocating to South Africa to set up the Merchants business, he was appointed Customer Interactive Solutions and Converged Communications lead in 2003. In 2008, he was appointed Group Executive of Sales and moved back to the UK.

Andrew uses his knowledge and expertise of the IT industry to empower the sales teams to boost their sales performance, with specific focus on our global and international clients.

He has an MBA from the University of Stirling in Scotland and holds a Bachelor of Business Economics from Paisley College of Technology. He also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Change Agent Skills and Strategies at the University of Surrey.

Andrew lives in London with his family. Outside of work he enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and watching sport.

Wen-Ming Wong was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Business, Asia Pacific of NTT Ltd. on 30 April 2020. In his role, Wen Ming is responsible for the global business focusing on delivering business values to global clients in the Asia region. His emphasis is to work in alignment with NTT Inc, NTT Data, docomo, NTT Advanced Technology and the other NTT group entities to offer the full-stack of digital transformation and high value services.

Wen Ming was most recently Senior Vice President, Sales, Asia Pacific, NTT Ltd., where he led the company’s salesforce in delivering profitable growth and in ensuring positive client experience. NTT Ltd. was incorporated on 1 July 2019 to bring together 31 businesses, including Dimension Data, NTT Communications and NTT Security, into a single global technology services company.

Wen Ming joined the company in 1995 when the company was then listed as Datacraft Asia Ltd in the Singapore Stock Exchange, before it was rebranded as Dimension Data in May 2011. With over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Wen-Ming has previously held several key management positions, including Country Executive positions in Japan, China, Malaysia and Hong Kong, he was also leading the Telecom Service Provider Business, Director of Business Solutions Group, Director of Marketing and CTO. Prior to that, he was the General Manager of Telecom Solutions Group and General Manager of iBOSS.

He holds a First Class Honours degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Essex, UK.

Ainsley Mann has been with Swire Pacific since 1998 where he started in the Group’s Coca-Cola Bottling business before moving to the real estate sector in 2010. From 2006 to 2010 he was CEO of Coca-Cola Bottlers Manufacturing (Holdings) Ltd a joint venture between Swire, Coca-Cola and COFCO in China. After 20 years in China he moved back to Indonesia in 2013 where he currently heads up Swire Properties. Prior to joining Swire he worked in various real estate consultancies in the UK, Indonesia and Hong Kong between 1986 and 1993 before moving into the consumer product sector with Tait Asia in China and Vietnam. He is a qualified member of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the UK based Institute of Logistics & Transport. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics from the University of Aberdeen and is a graduate of the Executive Management Programme at INSEAD.

In 2012 he was nominated by Scottish Development International (SDI) as a “Global Scot” and shortly thereafter formally appointed by the First Minister of Scotland. As a Global Scot he has a responsibility to use influence, connections and experience to help foster commercial links with Scotland and is currently assisting initiatives in the seafood and marine energy sector between Scotland and Indonesia.

He is a keen sportsman and as his body has slowly given up he has spearheaded a number of unique sporting initiatives such as the first ever cricket event in North Korea in 2009, Japan Cricket’s 150 anniversary tour to the UK in 2013 and organized the first ever international cricket team (Scotland Women’s team) to tour China in 2006. Beyond sport he has been active in environmental education and until moving to Indonesia he held a Board position at the Jane Goodall Institute in China for many years.
