In this webinar, we will look at the framework of the COVID-19 Temporary Measures Act and its impact on claims in the construction industry. In particular, we will discuss how claims such as call on performance bonds, enforcing any security over immovable and movable properties, claims of liquidated damages, etc have been affected by the new laws. We will also look at how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the construction industry and how claims of extensions of time, force majeure, or frustration may arise in construction claims. We will discuss these issues in the context of standard form contracts and case law.
