EUROCHAM Malaysia EuroTalks Webinar #01: Croatia at a Glance - Opportunities for Business Cooperation
EUROCHAM Malaysia is pleased to bring forth the first EuroTalks Webinar Series. A platform for the European Embassies to build awareness and opportunities on their respective countries.
The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia kicks off the Series with a mission to make the Malaysian business community familiar with the state of affairs of the Croatian economy and explores the avenue for the development of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the Malaysian-Croatian business relations in the future, being in the mutual interest of both sides and as well as business relations with other Southeast Asian countries in the general EU-ASEAN economic framework.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Malaysia
Ambassador Ivan Velimir Starčević is a professional diplomat with long standing career in the foreign service of the Republic of Croatia. His posts include assignments in the wider Croatian neighborhood as well as in the field of international peace and security. Interested in role of diplomacy in the contemporary world and dedicated to conflict resolution and peace operations. The title of his doctoral thesis is “Peace Operations in the Postmodern era.” Academic activities include lectures at many high education institutions in Croatia and abroad.
Served as Croatian Ambassador to Greece, Georgia, Armenia and Cyprus in the period 2012-2017, Director for Asia and Eastern Partnership at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia in the period 2017-2019 and from December 1st, 2019 as Croatian Ambassador to Malaysia, to as well cover Viet Nam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Brunei.

CS Gill is one of the pioneers who assisted in Infobip’s expansion to the far east. He brings with him 25 years of experience in Sales and Management. In the past 10 years, he has opened the regional market to Infobip’s solutions and is currently focused on the enterprise market in Malaysia. Working with most of the local banks as well as other large enterprise he has carved a 40% market share in Malaysia. He has vast experience in messaging communication, providing banks a new innovative way to reach and engage with their customers. He pioneered several initiatives such as the SSMS deployment giving the banks the possibility to replace carbon pins with a digital pin as well as innovating the ways in which the banks communicate with their customers. He also was critical in the launch of What's Up API bringing the first few clients to go live with Infobip's solutions.

Noran is Project Manager for the Malaysia Technology Expo. She works closely with the Croatia Embassy and supports the business matching activities for the Croatian trade delegation. She also works with the Croatian innovators, ensuring the smooth and successful participation from the group.
