Nicole Saunier is currently the Assistant Director of Student Employment at Denison University. With a passion for empowering students and supervisors alike, Nicole oversees a robust Student Employment program, fostering an environment where over 1,000 student employees thrive in their roles.
Driven by a desire to make a real difference, Nicole works to enhance the student employment experience, ensuring it serves as a valuable stepping stone to post-graduate success. Outside of Denison, Nicole proudly serves as the President of the National Student Employment Association, a role that reflects Nicole's commitment to supporting colleagues and advancing the field nationwide.
Sara Groat currently works at Gonzaga University as the Associate Director of Student Employment. Some of Sara’s responsibilities include supporting students and student supervisors. Reviewing I-9 documentation, hiring requests, and advancing students through the hiring process. Sara has served in conference services roles and currently as President-Elect for NSEA. She looks forward to her continue work within the organization.
Paula is a Senior Human Resources Generalist and manages the student employment program at Northwest Missouri State University. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the School of Business, teaching Principles of Management. She has been a SEE Trainer since 2013 and a National SEE Trainer since 2015. She currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Development for the NSEA Board of Directors. Paula enjoys meeting new people as she trains and sharing information that can assist someone with program improvements.

Aimee Selleck currently serves as the Job Location & Development (JLD) Coordinator within Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Career Services in Richmond, VA. This role primarily supports off-campus student employment access but also involves on-campus student employment development — including serving on VCU's Federal Work-Study team and as the project lead for a new FWS Internship Program — as well as managing a free student resource for career clothing. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) as the Vice President of Engagement and Director of Membership. With an interest in connecting and supporting folks in similar roles, she established and facilitated a monthly, virtual meet-up of JLD staff across the country (still active and now facilitated by another member and volunteer) through NSEA’s Partnership Program. Prior to working in higher education and student employment at VCU, Aimee worked for various non-profits in roles within volunteer coordination, behavioral health services, youth programming, and science education. Coming to work at VCU was a return to the institution where she received her undergraduate degree in biology in 2015 and where she is now pursuing a graduate certificate and master’s degree in public administration.
Shelby White currently serves as the Director of Student Employment at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Within this role, she maintains oversight of all campus-based and federal work-study programs and initiatives that include the JLD Program, Off-Campus Community Service, Pepperdine GROW, and Jumpstart (an Americorps Program). In addition, she is responsible for curating student development and student supervisor training opportunities at the University and holds a position on the Horizon Scholars Executive Board. Shelby has served in her role with Pepperdine University for five years and has worked in the field of Student Employment for eight years.
In addition, Shelby currently serves as the Vice President for Education and Director of Learning Services on the NSEA Board, managing webinar and online learning opportunities for NSEA members. She has also held roles at the regional level (WASEA) as President and Vice President of Marketing and Membership. Shelby values her involvement in these organizations, recognizing them as platforms for learning, collaboration, and networking among student employment administrators. Through her participation in NSEA, Shelby has cultivated professional relationships, exchanged best practices, and gained insights that enrich her contributions to Pepperdine University and to the field of Student Employment.
