Topical Training Opportunity for Victim Service Providers

Overview:
This training will teach you why Trauma-Informed Language is crucial in the criminal justice system.
By the end of the training, attendees will understand the following:
- Why using sensitive language shows respect for both victims', co-victims', and witnesses' experiences and their dignity and how it can positively impact their willingness to engage with the justice process;
- How to avoid retraumatization and build trust using effective and sensitive communication;
- And how trauma-informed language fosters a more compassionate and effective criminal justice system.
This training is approved for 2 PCCD training hours.
