EMPOWERING WOMEN IN THE MALAYSIAN CORPORATE SECTOR
Malaysian women are highly important contributors to the country's economic and social development. Improving women's access to jobs and economic opportunities could significantly boost productivity of the nation.
While the Malaysian government recognises women's potential economic contribution, it does not address the issue of 'disappearing women' in more senior, managerial, and decision-making positions. Particularly in the corporate sector, the higher you look, the less women you see.
As the Malaysian government continue their efforts to increase the female labour force participation rate in the country and encourage 30% of female representation on boards, it is imperative that we understand the issues that are inhibiting Malaysian women from working or gunning for senior positions.
Join us for this panel discussion that will highlight the role of women in national dialogue and to inform decision-makers in the corporate sector on the importance of women empowerment at local and national levels.
