SEAS set up ESS Working Group in April 2021 to form an ecosystem for all energy storage companies and to have a common platform to share and grow the sector together. ESS is an integral part of RE projects within the region. ESS involves solar, wind technologies, investors, digitalisation, financing and carbon which is generated from these projects. This Working Group encourages training, promotion of standards and providing vision and guidance of ESS projects in the region within the regulation and guidelines of electricity market in Singapore.

    Kavita Gandhi has an extensive background in environment and developmental sector spanning over last 20 years. Kavita has been involved in multi-dimensional projects like United States Asia Environmental Partnership (US-AEP) and was Instrumental in setting up of Clean Technology Environmental Management Centre (CTEM) in the Singapore Manufacturer’s Association. She has experience working with environmental sector startups and SMEs in her capacity as a manager of the Singapore Association for Environmental Companies (SAFECO). Kavita was one of the key personnel involved in setting up the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore and securing a grant from SPRING Singapore to run programs in the area of local enterprise development, market development and training & conferences for clean energy industry. She also represents the association in various government and non-government committees related to clean energy. She was instrumental in developing and managing some unique programs like the SME Energy Efficiency outreach as well cleantech incubator. Kavita has an MSc in Environmental Management from Wye College, University of London.

    Since 2005, Narada has established its Asia Pacific Regional Headquater Office in Singapore Peter Ng has served as the managing director, as well as a board member, of Narada Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the power and battery industry as a qualified Singapore Professional Electrical Power Engineer, lifetime licence holder (LEW).
    From 2017, Peter has served as a strategic adviser to the company. He oversees the development of the Centre of Excellence (Energy Storage) development programme, supported by the Economic Development Board of Singapore.
    Peter led the company's strategic growth transformation from a local battery trading office to a well-known industry leading brand, Narada Battery and Energy Storage Solution, spanning markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and India. Under his leadership, the APAC office has twice received the prestigious Narada Management Award for the Most Outstanding Oversea Performance.
    Peter's expertise lies in business management strategy. He is an experienced team management teacher and business solution trainer who excels in explaining engineering business solutions, management know-how and product marketing strategies in simple and easy to understand terms. With a foundational belief that success begins with the people, Peter consistently provides technical and business coaching to customers and partners, to build team chemistry, products skills and after-sales services.
