Hello pain community! We invite you to join us in Engine Room on March 1 where you, together with other members of the TPA community of practice, will discuss a pre-recorded interview between the TPA team and Prof Nijs, one of the foremost global pain scientists, around the topic of how our effectiveness could be enhanced if we integrate these two individually effective strategies to become more than the sum of their parts.
On registration for this event, you will be sent the interview and the article. In addition the link to the community of practice's brainstorming session between the TPA team and you, the community of practice. The goal here will be to integrate the knowledge and insights from our various contexts and to share and discuss how best we can work together as a team.

Motivational interviewing (MI) has long been an effective style of communication to facilitate behavioural change. It has grown in popularity within pain management circles and has been found to be a useful component in treating chronic pain (Alperstein & Sharpe 2016).
Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) has become increasingly popular with level 1 evidence supporting its efficacy as a part of a pain management program (Louw et al 2016).
