Join us for our first EPD of 2023 which will include a talk, small group discussion, Q&A and opportunity for networking.

With the rapid increase in the prevalence of youth and young adults identifying as transgender, the importance of engaging with our peers and corporate institutions in a compassionate, charitable, and truthful manner is paramount. How should we as young Catholic professionals positively and productively engage with this topic in the workplace? Join this discussion to understand how our Catholic Faith can offer helpful solutions for all involved.

Pope Benedict XVI opened his Encyclical Caritas in Veritate with the line: "Charity in truth, to which Jesus Christ bore witness by his earthly life and especially by his death and resurrection, is the principal driving force behind the authentic development of every person." He goes on to speak that God's love of us brings freedom and that our actions of expounding the truth of God's love for others with "humility and conviction" is our vocation and an "indispensable form of charity."

The topic of gender identity is one of the authentic development of each human person, and if we love our neighbor, we will want that full development for them according to God's plan, and we will present it to them with true patience and kindness according to the degree that they can bear it. As Catholic professionals our special task is precisely to bring that Christian love to those who may not have anyone else to bring it to them.
