This year the Engine Room will take on a slightly different format... We will run six 90 min skills-based webinars on various Tuesday evenings covering relevant topics.

The first Engine Room webinar will look at the significance of emotion handling in medical and rehabilitation practice. The presentation will explore how emotions can impact the patient-clinician relationship, treatment outcomes, and patient satisfaction.

Some effective communication strategies for addressing emotional needs and building rapport with patients will be discussed, including active listening, empathy, and validation.

Participants will also gain insights into ways to recognize and manage their own emotions in difficult patient interactions.
