This year's festival is going to be extra special. We're back together after the pandemic in the awe-inspiring natural splendor of Colorado Springs. David Holbrooke is returning as our curator of films, speakers and discussions. The United States Air Force Academy and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum have invited us to be their special guests.

It's going to be a spectacular three days of films, discussions and connections with one another.

Festival Partner

Original Thinkers

He's back! David Holbrooke returns to L3's film festival with his new company, Original Thinkers, whose's goal is to meld speakers, films and performance into powerful experiences that enlighten and motivate audience members.

Holbrooke's connection with the best and brightest minds in the industry open the door for L3 members to talk with these thought leaders and visionaries. His well-honed interview skills always lead to deep, informative conversations.

The films will be announced later this year and will revolve around topics like, "Can Each of Us Change the Way We See the World?" Thank you, Joanne and Jim Steinback for reviewing and selecting our films and topics.

Special Features

U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum is dedicated to America's greatest athletes and their compelling stories, with the artifacts, media and technology behind the athletes who make the United States proud. The museum focuses on the core values of the Olympic and Paralympic movements: friendship, respect and excellence; determination, equality, inspiration and courage. There are 12 galleries and lots of great artifacts and interactive exhibits, making it one of the premier attractions in Colorado.

We'll visit the museum for a special tour. Thanks to Bonnie and David Milenthal for making this connection.

United States Air Force Academy

Integrity First. Service Before Self.

Excellence in All We Do.

Those are the core values of the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) and once you're on campus, you'll see and feel the meaning of those words. From its architecturally stunning cathedral to its world-class planetarium, USAFA embodies integrity and excellence. We'll be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour. Thanks to Jenny and Mike Lambert for making this exclusive connection for us.

The Broadmoor hotel and resort sits in an exceptional natural setting on the shore of Cheyenne Lake situated at the base of Cheyenne Mountain. A member of Historic Hotels of America of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, its visitors have included heads of state, celebrities, and professional sports stars.

We'll visit this treasured site for dinner.

Accommodations

Garden of the Gods Resort and Club

3320 Mesa Road

Colorado Springs, CO 80904

The red rock sandstone formations set against Pikes Peak, now called Garden of the Gods, have long been revered for their natural beauty. Centuries ago, it was a Native American crossroads where numerous nomadic tribes gathered in peace. According to local stories, the immense sandstone formations were considered sacred ground and because of this, rival tribes laid down their weapons when entering the Garden of the Gods.

In the mid-20th century, Al Hill looked out across the mesa and knew he'd found his paradise. Hill and his wife, Margaret, dreamed of sharing that view with others and in 1949 purchased the property and created what is now the nationally renowned Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.

L3's block of rooms have breathtaking views of the Garden of the Gods Park and are typically 550 square feet with a king bed and private balcony or patio. If you need to upgrade your room, please call Tammy at 512-785-8422. Additional fees may apply.
