As part of the long-term vision set out in Agenda 2063, the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union has adopted common African aspirations, drawing on the potential of its populations, in particular, a human capital well-nourished citizens and in good health with a particular emphasis on women, adolescents and children. Human capital is key for development as it leads to improved lives for individuals, higher earnings and improved incomes for countries.
Productivity enhancing technologies and practice are an important starting element for agricultural transformation. However, even once they are o n the market , there are still major gaps in farmers access to and adoption of these solutions, particularly for women who comprise most small holder farmers would benefit the most.
In celebrating AU at 20 during the AU heads of State Summit, the exhibition strategically positions stakeholders in agriculture, food nutrition, food security, local agro-producers and suppliers to address the nutritional needs of their country and communities, provide climate smart solutions and affordable foods as well as access to non-conventional sales channels. Linking these enterprises, both large and small, provides an opportunity to enhance products and business practices.
