WEN Boston invites you to another dynamic panel discussion on April 4th from 5:30-7:30 on offshore wind project development. WEN Boston sits in a unique place at the center of the Offshore Wind industry in the US. These massive projects have amazing innovations with turbines that reach more than 800 ft in tip height. These projects will change the landscape of the northeast US towards our energy transition targets.



The panel will cover how projects are developed including technical, permitting, and commercial challenges. They will also discuss some of the latest industry news and insights. The esteemed panel brings experience from the developer, wind turbine OEM, and transmission sides.

    Offshore Solution Leader at Black & Veatch

    Georgia is the Offshore Solutions Leader within Black & Veatch’s Energy & Process Industry Sector responsible for project execution and driving growth in the US & international offshore wind market. She has 20+ years of power industry experience, serving the utility and energy markets leading electrical designs, product developments and project management for transmission, distribution and generation solutions. Her passion is centered on the security and resiliency of the grid through supporting the integration of renewable, specifically offshore wind energy generation, to meet evolving infrastructure demands and decarbonization goals. Georgia received her B.S. from Suffolk University in Boston, MA.

    Operations and Maintenance Manager for Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind at Shell Oil Company

    Allison is the Operations and Maintenance Manager for Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind. In this role she works to deliver the operations and maintenance strategy, and manages the operations and maintenance team, contract creation and negotiation, and defines the technical operational requirements for the project. Previously she spent several years working on another offshore wind project in the northeast and prior to that, spent five years working in the upstream oil and gas business in New Orleans in various process and facilities engineering roles – which included two years living on offshore oil and gas production platforms. Allison graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and lives in Boston.

    Technical Manager Offshore Wind at Shell Oil Company

    Danielle brings 10+ years of Shell experience from Upstream Oil and Gas and Offshore Wind; Danielle currently works on new opportunities in Offshore Wind (seabed leases) in North and South America and manages technical team members in Shell's 2 Offshore Wind Joint Ventures in the US. Danielle has been in the offshore wind space since 2019 supporting SouthCoast Wind - there she worked on integrated technical decisions, project planning, site characterization, permitting, and grid interconnection. Prior to joining offshore wind, Danielle worked in offshore oil and gas. She supported operations and project execution for multiple Deepwater platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, including living and working offshore on the Mars Tension Leg Platform.

    Danielle holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and is currently in the executive MBA program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Danielle lives in Boston with her husband David, their toddler Ezra, and dog, Penny. Danielle's an avid reader and podcast listener and passionate about energy policy and the energy transition!

    Offshore Engineering Lead at Avangrid

    Kendra Pickard is the offshore engineering lead for Avangrid’s New England Wind projects. She has over a decade of experience in offshore energy. She spent the first part of her career working in deepwater oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico as a subsea engineer in projects and operations at BP. She moved into offshore wind in 2021, first as a offshore substation engineer for Dominion Energy CVOW-C Project and now as part of the engineering management team at Avangrid. She is passionate about the energy transition and developing the future energy workforce. She was a 2021 Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow and a 2019 One Young World Ambassador.
